Nice to have you back again, your approach to fishing is a lot like mine. Although I still not convinced that forward facing sonar is fishing!!! The other older sonar techniques helped to identify the presence of fish and allowed the fish to move, hide etc. Hunting them down using drone like techniques, is no longer fishing! Here for the first time, I disagree with you, Best Wishes.

I met RC in 1987 at the Mega Bucks tournament on Harris Chain of Lakes. Some how his keys got locked in his truck so he had time to talk. That man can inspire you to do things his way, and it works. I still consider him to be the MAN! He cuts out 90% of the lake and Wins😎

I've been throwing the 7" zmans streakz, a big fluke bait for few years now. I've never thrown it on the tush but I catch them good on it

Nice fish and video! I was rigging the Ozark the same way you were in the video and was tearing up some plastics. Have you tried rigging it the way Stefan does? Much easier and less damage to the baits.

The FFS has a ton of people hot under the collar. Here is how I view it. Way back in history someone was first to plant brush piles. They had an advantage. Someone discovered the importance of the thermocline. KVD used to fly over the lakes to see structure and feeder fish movement. Pros used to talk to current lake guides for information (I think they still do). I believe some pros have friends plant their boats over areas they plan to fish so others cannot fish that area. Side scan and 360 had some advantage. My point is this. There will always be some new form of technology anglers use to have an advantage. that is how our world works, Nvidia makes chips above and beyond everyone else, giving them an advantage. We as a people look for an advantage in everything we do. Goes without saying an illegal advantage should be illegal and punished. So long as the advantage is legal, I say more power to you and I hope I find some advantage someday somewhere. Why do you suppose pros fish with a lure none of us normal anglers can get yet. This is what we do, look for an advantage and market it for ourselves. Makes no difference if it is in business, fishing, golfing pretty much anything.

Poor man's GPS point for structure is when you see the structure of interest appear on the right side of the screen toss a large bloating object with line and weight overboard. Back off and use that as your structure reference point. $5 GPS pointer.

Either your bias or not knowable of the LVS as your gain was way ro high and stitching was terrible. So many settings were in correct. 👎

I really like how you get into the technical aspects of lake breakdowns. For future videos show how you did the breakdown, use your tools and not just fish the community holes - i.e. Show how you move to the less obvious areas and find rock piles, brush, etc. to find larger bait and larger fish. That content would be gold to see your train of thought and be able to emulate that on my home lakes.

Would love to see you do the work and not fear failing. I know personally that would help me learn along with you. So glad your back Johnny, I learned a lot from you in the past and look forward to this next part of your fishing career/journey. While you do it please show us how you utilize all the tools including forward facing. I haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet cause I can catch bass “old school style”. However, I too am struggling to find larger fish.

Great video , I see the same thing you have said , them bass move in an out of them Iv fought that on Wilson lake on Tennessee river , one day be nice fish next day might be a few smaller ones an then nothing. Let me know if have anymore thoughts on this.
