The first time I heard & watched the video, I broke down hard, & couldn't stop replaying for the next 2 days . The woman I believed then & I'm shaking now as I'm sharing, that she was , is my wife whom had passed away. This haunting song reminds me of when I had a flat tire in the cold, dark of night, near Natchitoches, Louisiana, when I toured the US in my Chevy Astro Van, half a lifetime ago. I lived in Georgia then and it was a bit of an adventure, trying to outrun the approaching snowy weather on the way 'home'. The snow finally caught us in Alabama, and the last stretch was a nerve wracking drive on snow covered roads. (As mentioned elsewhere, this video was shot near my first 'home', Cape Town, South Africa.) Regards from my final resting place, Tasmania!

I support this 'theory', and am going to hunt for the exact location! At 1.24 the unmistakable silhouette of Table Mountain shows behind the biker, and the fin on the windmill at 2.00 shows the stylized SL of Stewarts & Lloyds. There is a very active movie industry in Cape Town. (Before I left the country in 2000 I was an extra in many overseas TV ads, and saw first hand just how much filming was going on.) So, there would have been many good reasons for filming in South Africa. 'Ask The Dust', which is set in LA, was filmed in Cape Town, as was 'Safe House' (with Denzel Washington). If I am wrong, and the video was not shot in the Western Cape, I will eat my boerewors & mieliepap!

Additionally, country and blues lay the foundations for rock music, making them very much related to that genre. So even literally interpreted, the saying fits.
