I remember how much I was screaming with laughter at the first time seeing this. They were UNAPOLOGETICALLY, TEXTBOOK DEFINITION, JUMPING THIS MAN. I rewinded so many times because I could not believe that they were just jumping him, straight up Detroit alleyway.
Jjk is basically about jumping villains to the point when they get either a power-up or fleeing Itadori like literal cowards
I just realized that as Mahito brings out his domain expansion, his hands specifically pushes Yuji out but keeps Nanami in since the first time he tried to Transmute Yuji, he was face to face with Sukuna's "soul" instead. And Mahito's domain expansion? Is a guaranteed hit to transmute someone within it. He specifically avoided that risk of having to touch Sukuna's soul again
Yuji: I'm gonna do what's called a pro gamer move.

I love how they drew those hands, softly and tenderly rubbing against each other. It's very romantic yet unnerving, which is a lot like Mahito. A desire for art and romance yet doing it in a dark and twisted way

@@brodygray744 I thought it was because Mahito's domain expansion could only work on people who had Idle Transfiguration activated on them. Sakuna healed Yuji's so I thought that was why the hands pushed him out, because the Transfiguration wasn't active on Yuji.

The beat switch up at 0:47 with Mahito’s mouth opening quickly and the hand signs appearing in his mouth, and then his domain expansion appears with crisp art/animation. One of the best scene of season 1 cannot wait to see how they handle the animation for the hyphy fights coming up.

I used to watch a lot a lot of anime back in the early 2010s and have recently gotten really tired of most anime but this scene has got to be one of my absolute favorites of all time. This show really is what the future of anime should be.

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of my favorite anime beside Demon Slayer. I really enjoy the timing and fight scenes- also the characters are so enjoyable to watch. Definitely in my top 5 favorite anime 🤠

For me it's the way they both clasp each other lovingly. It's not just Mahito grabbing your hand its reaching out. That concept paired with the sensuality of the scene even though the viewer knows full well how horrifying the consequences of that touch are just make my skin curl. There's an awful finality to it.

The scary thing is that through this battle, you realize how dangerous these curses that have their own intelligence and power. That through battle like the jujutsu sorcerers, can become terrifying and reach a whole new level. Something tells me that there has to be something beyond and more powerful than domain expansions.
Domain Expansion is the perfection of jujutsu, any one who can cast a complete domain atomatically becomes a special grade sorcer, doesn't matter if it's a human or a curse
