@@suhy9861 VW discovered the "magic" of injection molded plastic parts with the Mk4. I've had four mk4s and at this point I just buy direct replacement or metal versions of all the plastic flanges well before they fail. I have probably 3 or 4 spares of the one t shaped coolant flange that is on all of the different engines. That and the water pump is a must on any of the different motors as well.

The most fun was the swapped mk2&mk3. The Vw/Audi 1.8t is such a fun platform but can cause A LOT of headaches.
Overall I can appreciate this guys ride 👌 the only thing I would change immediately would be ditching that BOV for a nice Forge diverter valve. Part of th love of the sound of a Vw is the diverter flutter IMO. I'd leave the woosh of a blow off to the JDM platforms 🤷🏻‍♂️ but to each their own

The reason why bags are so popular on VW's is because of the shaping of the wheel arches themselves imo. My last car was a MkV gti and you have to be absolutely TUCKING if you wanna be genuinely low with anything bigger than a 16" unless you want a bunch of unnecessary camber. And nobody likes the look of a car slammed on 16's with half an inch of wheel gap lmao. So I bagged it, put on some 18x9's and I could be a stance queen at the simple push of a button, and still drive home without buckling the shit outta my fenders on a slight bump. God I miss that car.
