Another gorgeous actress I never knew about. One more victim of the curse of beauty....Sad to read about her short life and career.... The handheld camera shots near the end were rare to see as well. Low budget movie but it has everything...
I have an article about Payton in my book, "The Bloodied and the Broken." John O'Dowd wrote an excellent biography of Payton entitled "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye: The Barbara Payton Story."
I love Barbara Payton , if you want to see more of her try watching The four sides triangle
William whizz Yes, It’s great. “The Four Sided Triangle”.
What do you think of my recitation of her poem?

I just watched it, again, yesterday. 😊
Wasn't she wonderful?
This. Is. Jungle.
Boom Kitty i came from your live stream when you said a part of the law of the jungle song was from here
The gorilla is bringing in my
Pizza from the shop great delivery
Man 😂
Didn't like it that much at first.
But about halfway through i thought to myself " damn, this shits still not over? "
Your comment makes no sense to me, because you seem to be saying the same thing in both sentences.
love the old movies Barbra was beautiful
When you’ve got a room chock full of crap in the jungle and your husband is a gorilla, you’re set.
Thank you for this.
written & directed by Curt Siodmak - say no more! combo Dr Jeckyll-Mr Hyde, Wolf Man, Beauty and the Beast, King Kong... but that old lady and her herbs, that's rare. her potion works, that's rarer. not unlike the hag in "Drag Me To Hell" (2009).
Raymond Burr? Well, he had to start his career somewhere!
Vincent Mileto He was in the original “Godzilla King of the Monsters.
He wouldn't have done this part except for the compassion of Barbara Payton. She knew he was in trouble and right for the part. However, he was overweight so wouldn't have gotten the part -- except Barbara went to bat for him and demanded he get the part! He was able to fast his extra weight off so he could play Barney Chavez.
@@denisenoemyschizotypaldiso3755
He also locked himself in a hotel and went on a water fast, in order to lose enough weight to play the sexy Barney.
@@EYE_GOTCHA Yes, he did. I know he felt sorry about the way her life turned out. At one point, he tried to return the favor by getting her a role on "Perry Mason" but the superiors refused to insure her. It's really sad because just one part on that show might have jump started her acting career.
Would have been fantastic in colour , good acting.
Here from boom kitty?
me lol
Wowww so nice wowww ,, well done 👍
Raymond Burr did the film with only one face of stone....
Poor Barbara what a train wreck.
A richly talented train wreck.
Stan loona
Remade as "Serial Apeist" starring Penny
Did she die in the end too?
barbra pyton its very beautiful women 😘
Barbara Payton is thinking "I am incredibly sexy with the hottest body in Hollywood. Every man I meet falls madly in love-lust for me. Why is this Raymond Burr guy so uninterested?" (Insert your own joke here.)
She is reported to ask another actor about a man's endowment. "I neither know nor care," he replied. "Ask Raymond."
I recite Barbara Payton's one known poem here:

WTF? No Gorilla in this movie?
Did you watch the enitre film?
Loved the remake with OJ and wife.
too bad the gorilla din't die instead of the beauty.
Incredibly racist and extremely sexist, but somehow still a hilarious monster movie.
Only someone insecure about their race/sex would find it to be so.
@@prevost8686 They always come out of the woodwork . They criticize work which is by now completely out of context. A hell of a lot easier to be a sanctimonious gasbag than a creative artist.
stanthology Someone made the same ridiculous comment about “Black Moon” 1934 with Fay Wray the other day. I so love that movie.
@@mindyvaughn8217 Thanks Mindy. I will check out "Black Moon".
@@stanthology The comments are on target. It is both racist and sexist but fun to watch.
