Gorillas In The Mist (1988) Official Trailer - Sigourney Weaver, Bryan Brown Movie HD
Sigourney Weaver is definitely a pioneer of action heroines and heroines, regardless of gender.incredible actresd
Its everybody's responsibility to conserve and protect wildlife
You god damn right
The Corporations and governments don’t care about nature or wildlife sadly
Tell that to China they eat cats dogs everything else that moves with torture
Dian fossy one of the greatest woman in the world ! May she rest in peace
What killed her? Jungle fever?
@@flipgunderson1946 poachers, or possibly someone with ties to the government of Uganda, who got fed up with her outspokenness and passion for protecting the gorillas.
@@flipgunderson1946 she was murdered in 85 and they have recently arrested someone for her murder.
SO was Jane Goodall with chimpanzees.
@@joannpierce5865 Who did it?
Why did they do it?
I haven't seen this film in 20 years or more, but just seeing the trailer again makes me sad and misty-eyed.
I didn't stop crying in this movie
'bout sums it up for me too
Me either
I love old movies like this. I don't know if they remind me of being a kid or if its just the "feel" of the trailer and movies, but they make me feel happy. I've never even seen this movie.
Its the cameras they used that produced a natural lighting to everything, plus everything was manual. When everything went digital around 08 and cgi took over it lost the natural feeling to it.
I also love the voiceover trailers of the time
I feel older movies are more grounded due to less CGI
May Michael Apted rest in peace.
Thank you so much for this wonderful movie and your other features.
I remember seeing this back in 88. It was a great film but a pretty rough ride emotionally for a 14 year old. I gained a great respect for primates and animals in general ever since, so it obviously had an impact. Of course Sigourney Weaver was brilliant as Dian Fossey not to mention very easy on the eyes.
I haven't seen it since I was a toddler so I have no recollection of the movie whatsoever but it still makes me nostalgic af
This was probably the first time I cried seeing the cold blooded murder of an animal in a film. Unforgettable.
i think I teared up some after seeing King Kong fall from the top of the Empire State building in that classic movie
when I watched this movie here in Brazil, I was a teenager, I remember I cried a lot
and sigourney weaver won the golden globe for this .. amazing film
Dian fossey u will never be forgotten every gorillas in earth will love you
I respect Sigourney Weaver for her hard work ❤
What a great account of Dian Fossys life and commitment, dedication to the mountain gorilla
We need more great films like this!
Yes absolutely
Not seen but I have to do it one day.
We need more great writers like Farley Mowat
*and Léss celebrities "writing" books :-)*
Those days are gone. Movies, tv shows are all about the alphabet squad and other people that haven't been represented in the media you know the obese the ugly people that were never used for in the entertainment business. Now all we'll get is a bunch of no talent hacks just because.😩🤮👎
Love the fact that they spoke my local language in this film, also still amazed at how good the quality of the picture is.
Finally I found this movie haven’t seen it since I was 8 amazing
Heroes never die!
I did watched this in the movie house....Sigourney Weaver Is One Of The 80’s to 90’s Important Actress also Shes Famous In Alien Movie.
Movie always makes me cry 😢
My grandpa used to watch this with me when I was 9 or so & I just randomly remembered.. ❤
LOve this movie! Haven't seen in years!
RIP Dian Fossey (January 16, 1932 - December 26, 1985), aged 53
And
RIP Michael Apted (February 10, 1941 - January 7, 2021), aged 79
You both will be remembered as legends.
I watched this movie as a very young child and it scared me so bad but it was so good!!
I like this movie, i love it indeed and it's not an old movie at all.
I cried soo much
I saw this in 3rd grade. Great movie! Really sad what happened to Diane Fossey.
I feel the same way.
Today we have again over 1000 mountain gorilla. Mountain gorillas are the only great apes increasing in number.
Fossey really mobilised the whole world to save them. And gorilla tourism is only possible thanks to her work.
She also created the famous "Gorilla Doctors". The last great project she started before she was killed.
This movie helped a lot and Sigourney Weaver is since 1988 the Honorary Chair of The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International
The director and most of the scientists working in Karisoke today are from Rwanda. Fossey always hoped that gorilla research/protection would mainly operated by Africans in the future. Rwanda plans to give more land to the mountain gorillas.
The comeback of the mountain gorillas started with an occupational therapist from Kentucky.
How many were there in existence in her time?😊

🧐In the Virunga Mountains the population was:
1960: around 500
1972: 275
1981: 242 (lowest point)
2003: 380
2016: 604
Watched a clip on you tube Dian Fossey on Johnny Carson. It was as Amazing as she was what a beautiful film they showed
the first time when i saw this picture i cried a lot,i can't bear too see how the hunters kill to a "Digits"the alpha gorila leader of the lerd.;(
I’m glad her efforts weren’t in vain and that the mountain gorilla population has climbed from 400 to over 1000 in the past few decades.
I remember this movie as a kid great 👍 flick and i remember i 😢almost cried the ending was heart breaking 💔
rest peace dian, you were a real one, cheers babe
Bryan Brown is a legend I always stumble upon great movies like this, Cocktail etc & he's always in them, I need to seek out more movies he's in
He's also in FX & FX2
RIP diane fossey
I had read from a textbook that this film costed half of its original budget because of a question raised by one of its film set intern, "What if you let the gorillas write the story?" I find it so amusing that one piece of idea could make a huge difference.
Brilliant move. I cried and cried. Story about Sigourney. She didn't want to have a child. Her choice. But after making this movie..... she said she was very maternal , gorillas. And she did.
Thanks for this beautiful and Magistral Movie and trailer dedicated to a woman with Gorillas and their saving !!! Merci from France !!!
Beautiful film x

Gorilla (Tutsis) are facing extinction (a minority species) and she says this killing will not end until the butchers are stopped, whilst Hutu men (Bantu Africans) are seen brandishing machetes. Now, who else thinks this film is a dress rehearsal of the genocide that would come 6 later, years after the production of this film? I just find the whole business strange! 😳
this is Avatar!
Who else was brought here by Terry Davis?
I got this movie mixed up with Congo

This reminds me of a joke I read somewhere years ago:
Q. Why do gorillas have big nostrils? A. They have big fingers. 🤣
I wanted to watch it. Then I thought it ought to despict animal cruelty and killing. Nevermind I'll pass !
Yes, let's save the gorillas but kill all the chickens, pigs, and cows, and lambs.
Gorillas and humans are 97% identical. Gorillas and our ancestors did split 10 Million Years Ago.
Without laughing.
I practice MMA for 6 years now, boxing in parallel for 7 years, I can.
As well as bodybuilding for 4 years, 1m87 for 86 kg
I have a crazy speed, and reflexes identical to my speed. I just have to wait for him to charge me, duck him and give him good potatoes in his head. I will not let go of the slightest mistake, the gorilla is finished. You'll always have virgins from here to think it's impossible. Nothing is impossible with the will already friends, and 2) it is not with your body of coward that you will do anything.
Any man a minimum trained can defeat a gorilla with a knife already. Hand bare is not necessarily more complicated it just requires the technique.
How come a search for Michelle Obama brings me here?
That's weird...I'd think it would take you to hell?
The real Dian Fossey looked like a man!
No she didn’t? What a dumb comment to write about an amazing woman.
