The girls bond escalated so smoothly and riched the top with the all girls together on bus scene. That's great direction.
They were all girls who everyone thought would never get along, a mean girl, a dumb blonde, edgy rebellious girl, a weird and silly girl, realistic and nice girl, a smart girl who is never noticed.

Jackson and Viv, and Adam and Ola were my favourite unlikely friendships this season. One of my top moments was Ola hugging Adam after she lied to cover for him, and confirming that they were friends. AWWWWWW!

Mrs. Groff saying she doesn't have many friends just hits me on a very weird level. Imagine being a middle-aged woman who has just had a divorce and doesn't have a friend to talk to. Its just really sad and touching for some reason. To me more touching than anything on the show yet. And the weirdest part is that I'm an 18-year-old guy who finds something like that to be the most uniquely touching part of the whole show.

When Adam's mom confessed to Jean how lonely she was since she doesn't have a lot of friends made me realize it could be the dads fault for keeping one. Maybe his hostility was taking a toll on her and made her feel like she wasn't allowed to have friends in the house. And maybe also the fact that mr. Groff seems pretty content of not having any friends around him which could be the reason why she hasn't been making friends in his circle since he has none.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Poor Maureen was married to such a loathsome man, and her friendship with Jean helped to empower her, and strive to better her situation, starting with plucking up the courage to ask him for a divorce. 😺
I'm starting to think that Mr. Groff might be gay and I think the 3rd season is gonna explore that part of his personality. Maureen said they haven't had sex in ages which is kind of a big hint. He hates strong and intelligent female characters like Maeve and Jean Millburn while also being extremely affectionate with Jackson. And also the scene in season 2 where he dances in the empty halls of the school also seems kinda gay. I hope the 3rd season sheds some light on this.

It's far more likely they just married for the same reason a lot of ppl in their day got married, out of some social obligation not for love. I'm one of those persons who likes to be alone, I have few friends and don't have a lot of ppl over and I don't have an active sex life either...guess what, i'm not gay.

I'm gonna make a prediction that Ruby is gonna have a bit of a redemption arc, so I reckon she might hang out with Otis outside of school sometimes and be friendly with him and then in school goes back to bullying everyone and insulting Otis, eventually Otis will bring her up on this and do some therapy on her and then we'll get a scene where they walk to class together or something and everyones like "Eww whys Ruby walking with Otis??" But ruby just ignores them. I think thatd be really cool and a good place to take Ruby's character

@@checkm8964 Yeah, I think the same. Ruby will be the next character with a good progression after what we have seen happening with Adam. Ruby is showing her truly face to Otis when they are together in private, in public Ruby is another person, like she is wearing a mask, because she is afraid of what people could think about her. Otis should work to fix that. But I think that Otis now is interested to know more about Ruby, because he knows that Ruby isn't what se shows at school, she has shared with him her familiy's problems, and Otis appreciated that, and now wants to know more about that and wants to pass more time with her.
I think that Ruby will want to pass secretly some time with him, and I'm interested to see what happens with the pregnancy test too.
I love the detention of girls scene. It shows that they still hate each other at some level, yet they're very supportive. Which our society should be - we don't have to *like* someone to support them. We have differences, and it's not realistic to like everyone; but we still have the option to support each other.

Jesus it just hit me how scary that first scene would've been. They're literally riding a bike down a hill just slightly behind a car that has a camera attached to it whilst the actors talk non stop and have to be in complete control on the bike. I'm sure they obviously must've worked out the kinks to make sure its as safe as possible but man it stresses me out when i watch it😂
I don't think the camera was right in front of them. It must have been a bit next to them so they could hit the breaks without crashing in it or drive past it in an emergency. But yeah you're right - I'm sure they still had to concentrate a lot
pretty sure the bike is stationary in place and theres a green screen behind them. Thats why they look so comfortable shooting the scene

@@moonprince6624 Maeve was only with Jackson, not trading nerdy boys one after another to make herself feel better plus she actually liked Jackson, just not as much as he did her. Also I don't ship Maeve with Otis, I never have. I think drunk Otis was right, both Ola and Maeve treated him poorly. In season 1 I was good with him and Ola...she was direct and tried to be patient with him but then they changed her character this season to be somewhat unlikeable, at least in the relationship department.
She's a spoiled rich girl, like no duh. She's 16 or something and is growing that's the whole point of making them teenagers, they're learning shit and figuring themselves out
