Bei Tempo 300 kann man nicht mehr von Vorrausschauend sprechen. Hast mal einen Idioten vor dir der plötzlich nach links zieht in letzter sekunde und nicht schaut was von hinten kommt hat der Fahrer hier ein sehr großes problem. Vorrausschauend ist das allemal nicht.
Da darf ich auch mal ein Lob aussprechen. Ich sehe so viel Raser auf der Autobahn, die drängeln, lichthupen, meinen, die linke Spur würde ihnen gehören. Aber du gehst rechtzeitig vom Gas, lässt Abstand zu vorausfahrenden auf der linken Spur und lässt sie in Ruhe ihren Überholvorgang beenden. So muss das sein! Dann darf man auch ruhig mal schneller fahren, wenns frei ist ;)

Those are what I call world class highways... well maintained and optimized for high performance vehicles. Also, how nice it is for those driving at a slower rate to move out of the way. Don't try that here in The US, a granny may well be driving at 80 km/h on a lane with a speed limit of 105 km per hour and still she or any other one won't move out of the freaking way.

It's nice but also it's the law. I believe in Germany you can get fined for driving on the left lane for a prolonged amount of time if you aren't intending to pass anyone. And passing on the right side is also forbidden. You have to keep to the right if there's free road ahead. This is also the case in a lot of places (except for the fine). The US of course has to do things in its own way.

I drive a BMW 325i and they even move out of the way for me in germany. It's not only because it's the law (It's also the law in Belgium but they don't do it...) it's because they are good drivers in general. AND because everyone knows the autobahn is dangerous when you stick to the left lane :P I would be scared shitless going 300 KM/h past a car just doing 150 though. The first time i drove my BMW on the autobahn i had to pass a truck that was overtaking another truck on a 3 lane road and it was pretty scary at 200 km/h. I got used to it after a while, but it's still scary :P Lovely vid man. And I love the sound of that engine. It's alot better than the v10 imho.

It's this unique V8 BMW M sound: wwwhoooooouuuuuu. I had it in the M6 as well. Due to rainy weather conditions, I couldn't drive faster than 280 Km/h. This M5 driver in the video is formidable.

The joys of Autobahn driving... and frustration (traffic) Some moments which I found slightly scary, esp. fast overtaking trailers overtaking each other at 100 km/h in the middle lane...
This video is not amazing because he did 314 kph on a public (yes, autobahn, deristricted I know) road. It is amazing to see that there is still a place where people respect each others machines on a higher level. Notice the complete lack of tailgating from EVERYONE. notice that when people realized there's a much faster car coming up from behind in their lane that they got out of it and let him pass. notice that even he is not pulling up real close and being an annoying driver. He respects his greater power, and the power of others on the road. This is vastly lacking here in the states, where dumb fucks can climb in to their 6000lb pickup, and cruise at 60 in a 75 zone, in the left lane, whilst texting and eating. and people ask why there are so many crashes on US highways. They are morally wrong. The autobahn, which encourages good mannerisms, and full concentration, is the model all highway systems should follow
thanks for driving quite appropriate on german autobahn, unlike most stupid speed tourists, that are putting pedal to metal even in heavy traffic with no way to go. oh wait he is german... you can tell he is experienced driver

Du fährst mit 300+ vorbildlicher als viele mit 100 km/h. Kein Gedrängel, vorausschauend - Bravo.

I got to drive the F10 M5 from Munchen to Nurburg, and it is indeed fast!! Love it!
