  • Origin Maine is one cool company. If you didn't catch my review of their Bison Boots I'll link to it here, but what you need to know is this is a company with a very grassroots approach to bringing manufacturing back to the USA. The real definition of an "American Company" is surprisingly vague. The phone in my hand is from an American company, but made in China. Conversely, factories like American Woolen are producing beautiful material here in the US which is then sent all over the world to be made into all kinds of products.
    So when a company is focused on not only sourcing their products locally, but manufacturing them in their own factory, it's an undertaking which deserves recognition. These are the Origin Maine Factory Jeans, and I love the approach. It's a balance of work and casual which is hard to find.

    I ordered my pair of factory jeans the day they were available and haven’t wore another pair since. They look great and are incredibly comfortable. Plus they look awesome paired with my Origin boots. I order a pair of the Deltas and can’t wait to try them on.

      I have a pair of the Coronado boots and I really enjoy them. I had never been a boot guy before but when I saw them I just had to have a pair. Not only do they look great but they are really comfortable. When I’m at my desk at work I sometimes even forget that I’m wearing them. The other thing I really liked was the customer service. Since I had never purchased a pair of boots before I made the error of not ordering wide enough. Thankfully Origin took them back and replaced them no problem. My goal now is to save up a little money and get a pair of those bison boots. Those things look incredible!

    • @rickpruess5147
      @rickpruess5147 Před 3 lety +2

      Tony I really like them. They are very comfortable and their light weight was helpful during the summer. The only problem I had was the pant legs would ride up a little bit when I was sitting, and I would need to pull them down when I stood up. However that might be because I ordered them a size too small. Either way I highly recommend both style of jeans from Origin.

    Trying to go with the less quantity more quality approach to my clothing. Got a pair of Perfect Jeans and while they are nice and stretchy, they're a bit thin for my liking. Might try a pair of Deltas when these wear out. I'm also waiting on a pair of their built field pants for work. When they say 4-6 week wait time, they mean it.

    Keep up the great content brother! I first heard about these from Jocko Wilink's podcast (which I HIGHLY recommend for EVERYBODY to listen to) and I was ecstatic to see you review them! Jocko mentioned he designed them keeping in mind of his Navy SEAL ancestors wearing blue jeans in the Mekong delta in Vietnam back in 1968, hence the name Delta 68. Wish you well in these times man keep doing what you do.

    Going against the grain here I’ve had a nightmare with origin sending me the wrong size to the uk with shipping and customs giving a total of around $240 for a pair now mistakes happen it’s one of those things. No help at all from them I should pay for shipping back to cover their mistake they didn’t send what I ordered. Lesson learnt I judge a company by how they handle their mistakes I’ll stick to other brands .

      I think a lot of companies hate dealing with UK customs, my fiance lives in the UK and its not uncommon for him to complain heavily about customs there causing an issue and the companies other people have no problems with giving him hell, not a defense but they probably treat their US customers a lot better in these circumstances who are kinda their target market

      @@kiyosenl.3889 I could understand that if I'd have ordered wrong however they sent the wrong size and then didn't want to know. • @54BiZZuRKS
      @54BiZZuRKS Před 10 měsíci

      Yeah man that sucks. Honestly if you live anywhere, but the USA you should never order clothes from a strictly USA brand. Because our sizing is so different from the rest of the world and screwed up. We understand it, but unless you’ve lived here and you know what you wear in our (f’d up) system it’s just gonna get screwed up and be confusing. Then you’re left relying on a group of strangers, thousands of miles away to solve your problems for you because you gave them your money. It’s not so much a problem for brands that have international reach and branches with built tested size conversions. If they’re based in the USA and mostly sell in the USA, I’d avoid them (internationally) especially if you’re particular about size.
      You can also order an American fabric tape measure that’s in inches. You can get them from fabric shops or sewing sites. Also hobby shop sometimes ; and you can use them to measure yourself to get our numbers that we use for like waist and inseam. if your male that is. If your female there’s just no hope.

    Ones again great review and a company that I didn’t knew before - my only problem is that the trade rules these days makes it difficult to order and send to Europe and with the current US president it’s not getting easier. There are so many products that I would like to order from the US and there is a limit to how much I can bring back in my suitcase and Frank Clegg weekend bag -:) on the plane ✈️

      Carl Murawski Many years ago I had a pair of Gap selvedge with stretch that I wore through the summers, skateboarded in and was great for hikes and bike rides. Since Origin is made in the USA, lighter weight denim and has some stretch they seem like a perfect option. As far as comparing to my Japanese denim I mostly meant with comfort, range of motion and durability. Perhaps that’s like comparing apples to oranges, but either way I’ll be stoked to get a pair. Especially for the dry heat and high 90s that are soon to come, my Iron Heart 21oz slim fit just won’t cut it. ☀️ 👖 🔥

    NOT ALL AMERICAN. They use YKK zippers which are Chinese. An American company would be TALON.

    🧐 "Quality Control" means nothing in most cases....YOU (CAN'T) SAY THAT SOMETHING IS (AMERICAN)....aaaaand it "NOT" BEING MADE IN AMERICA...)THE THOUGHT OF THIS ALONE IS "NON-REMEDIAL THINKING" & A BIT "GUILE" ACTUALLY...YES!!!, I DO OWN & "WOULD" PREFER (AMERICAN MADE QUALITY), NOT TO (BURST) CHINA'S BUBBLE...😮‍💨 But, YOU (really) CAN'T PUT MUCH FAITH IN A COUNTRY THAT WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE "DEATH OF THOUSANDS" FROM THE (CORONAVIRUS)."😶
