Set the hook! Lol that was killing me. Nice fish though, I use cranks all the time

I see that your micro bait has a larger diver lip than most which adds to the weight and makes for longer casts. I can't wait to use my micros and I hope to get a similar cast distance that they have a tiny dive lip.

Last time I tried a similar micro crankbait the treble hooks would stick together every few casts. I removed the front hook and the bait started tracking sideways

I have somewhat of the same issue with this crank bait, it kind of returns in a swinging, right. Also, the front and back travel would sometimes get caught up on each other as well. Lots of smaller Rebel Lures also do it pretty often

I’ve had the same issue. Best way I’ve found is adding a second split ring on the trebles

That's a cool looking lake. What part of the country are you located in?

@@Lucas.the.fisherman Nice. I've never fished that part of the world yet, hopefully one day.

You shouldn't throw trout back like that. They are not hardy fish at all. I dont take them out of the water unless im eating them. If i hook them deep i cut it off as close to the hook as possible. It will dissolve. Also you should wet your hands before handling trout i dont remember the reason something about salt and their scales.

Their coat of fish slime keeps them safe from bacteria and our dry hands will take that slime off making them susceptible to infection and parasites. The trout was pretty much dead sadly but I gotcha man I’ll be more responsible
