Kai is superb, but they really should have stayed away from the Buu saga as that was Funimation at their finest. This speech by Vegeta for instance was even better than the original japanese. There was simply no topping Funimation for this Saga. Kai was incredibly brilliant for all the other sagas though.
OG Funimation dub did the best job of capturing Vegeta’s pride, anger, and character. You don’t get that heart and emotion from Vegeta’s VA performances nor dialogue in Kai and Japanese.

His pride and ego allowed Frieza to transform to his second stage and beyond, when Vegeta and the others coulda come together and taken him down. His pride and ego allowed Cell to achieve his perfect form, and allowed Cell to completely ragdoll Vegeta like it wasn't even a problem. I am always happy when he tries to be prideful, and he gets a deserved helping of crow to eat.

Apparently you have not watched the buu saga's ending. Goku throws a spirt bomb at Buu. The planet does not blow up. The whole thing with Goku's kamehameha to Cell was a bluff. I mean Vegeta fired his Final Flash at the same angle that Goku's kamehameha would've been and I guarntee that Final Flash was more powerful. And look how little damage it did to the planet
