God damn it. I knew it would happen". It is revealed that the nuclear power plant has blown up. They alert the guard, who already saw what happened, and blew his whistle for them to go. Charlie released Edward's brakes, hit the regulator, and "pulled the whistle for dear life". After Cedric, the signalman, made sure they would be able to make it. They sped down the main line, passing Donald, who was heading the opposite direction with a slow goods train. They would later learn that neither Donald, nor William or Colin in his cab, would survive. Edward was probably the horrified of all of them, as he didn't have a layer of protection, unlike the humans, which was his motivation to go faster. After they past Crosby, the shockwave hit them, causing the glass of the coach's windows to shatter, and Edward's front pony truck to derail, but they kept going. They didn't stop until they reached Knapford, where everyone in the coaches got out, and went into the station's buildings and offices. On the radio, the crew heard that the entirety of Brendam was hit by the explosion, and that the death toll was unknown.
