As a spiderman enthusiast, here is a summation of Beetle: Beetle is a c list villain that is basically a jobber like shocker. Hes armed with a power suit that lets him fly at insane speeds and shoot stinging lasers that are so fast even spiderman has trouble reacting to them. Beetle has had 5 different identities. The most well known is Abner Jenkins, the first Beetle. He's an engineer who tried to be a villain but was always thwarted by spiderman. After realizing he wasn't cut out for it, he gave up his life of crime and Spiderman helped him turn a new leaf. He changed his Beetle suit to a more heroic appearance and joined the Thunderbolts as the new hero MACH V, where he's actually better at being a hero. He has been good ever since and helps spidey on occasion. The second most well known Beetle is Janice Lincoln, the daughter of Tombstone. She is trying to follow in her father's footsteps and become a crime boss but Tombstone wants her to stay away from that life but she has vowed to surpass him. Imo I think Insomniac will go with Janice's version as it seems better for a more emotional story and the reformed tombstone finding out his daughter took a dark path in life. Another well known incarnation is his Ultimate version. This is a mercenary for hire who stole a prototype suit from Stark Industries and modified it to fit his line of work. All in all, Beetle is considered one of spidermans most fan favorite c list villains and I'm glad the character is getting the spotlight as a main villain for a dlc story
I do believe that the Carnage dlc will be hyped but in my opinion for those who read the Comics and play the Ultimate Spiderman game will be more exited for the Beetle dlc

Even the Beetle dlc is confirmed to happen because a leak about it got revealed from Insomniac, but it’s unfortunately not gonna be the classic Beetle, it will be Tombstone’s daughter taking the role (since Tombstone has a canon daughter in the comics)
Carnage I feel is a way better villain than the beetle…. Beetle may fall underneath the umbrella of Being a villain that a lot of people don’t know very much of… but a villain like carnage, venom, green goblin? Those are big-time villains! I really believe Carnage should be a bigger DLC if not its own thing… That’s just me

If you completed all the side stuff (the spider bots, side quests etc) then you know every dlc already anyway. It's likely there will be a chameleon dlc as well.
I don't remember there being any Beetle related side stuff though. Carnage and the Spider Verse are very hard to miss but I'm not so sure about the Beetle one.

Miguel O'Hara isn't a villain. He shouldn't be a boss fight. He's just as much as Spider-Man as Peter Parker is (in the comics, the movie only adapted one half of Miguel's character).
Peter has one shotted carnage in the comics he just holds back which is why people think that carnage is stronger when he’s not when Peter is actually trying because he holds back against the symbiotes too ok carnage is only stronger if Peter lets him be stronger because an angry and a very determined Peter has beaten him up multiple times and he even dodged and speed blitzed a carnage amped silver surfer.

There has been no mention of them officially even though that massive Insomniac data leak said all three would be free dlc that would periodically come out throughout the year. However since that leak Sony made an announcement that they want to steer away from Disney properties since the licensing costs got to be too much to handle. I imagine these were cancelled, and the only Marvel stuff Insomniac will make now is probably the Wolverine game, and Spiderman 3.
There was originally going to be a Spiderverse game, but they cancelled it last minute. They had a gameplay trailer and footage made, and it looked really good. And now we know we'll never get it. It was apparently meant to be released in 2018. Hackers went and looked at the games they were making and that was one of them, they released the footage of the trailer online. And insomniac had to say we are never getting the game due to budget constraints.

I kinda wished they saved Carnage for the 3rd game. My theory was Act 1 would focus on Harry as Green Goblin, Act 2 would be Carnage and Act 3 Would be Norman as the Red Goblin (basically green goblin with the carnage Symbiote for those that don't know)

The beetle is sick. In the ultimate Spiderman series, he gives Spiderman a lot of problems early on, and then he joins Doc ock and Hydra and gets his amour given balls to the walls upgrades I'm just curious as to whether he will talk 😂

Ngl, I was expecting one of the DLC's to follow the Chameleon since we see him at the end of the bird chase missions. Maybe he'll play an important role in one of the other storylines.
The Beatle was on my 90s Spider-Man Cartoon Maker pc game. That's all I know of Beatle and they weren't even in the 90s show. Lol
