Thank you for such a detailed review.... This is fantastic!
My pleasure!
We've gone back and forth trying so many other curriculum but you've sold me on this one. Love how easily its set up and no fillers or fluff.
exactly. I also use Khan Academy.
Process:
read lesson in the book, take notes, watch lesson from Khan Academy, add to your notes if needed, do Khan Academy quick practices, then finish up with exercises from the book. It takes about 45 mins to 1 hour for that whole process. I grade the work and we make corrections together which are normally calculation errors but he understands the concept due to the process we take. THIS HAS WORKED WONDERS...OMG....
Thank you for this video. I had never heard of this and will definitely be looking into it!
Glad it was helpful! Thank for you subscribing!
We have volume 1 of this series but have yet to start using it. I was attracted to this curticulum because it covers the fundamentals of primary school (elementary) level math in just two years. I see us using this, continuing with Life of Fred and maybe adding in with Math Mammouth (?) next year.
What do you use as your core math curriculum?
Thank you for commenting.
I like it too because the basics are taught well and you don't need 10 years to learn basics through high school Algebra 2 or Geometry.
We are using this as our core along with a Pre Algebra book. I should have 1 - 2 videos on our Math for Grade 6. Please check those out too
@@cherlinepierre I will indeed check out your other vids. Thanks!

Hey mama. Your comments are not showing up on the videos for some reason. But no worries. Just please try emailing me at cherlinexo@gmail.com
First and foremost, I want to commend you for taking the necessary steps of protecting your child and for also self educating him! I am so very heartbroken for what your son (and you) had to endure at the school.
I must say, I don't have experience nor do I have a frame of reference for students are are autistic. But that doesn't mean I won't help you research and find resources!
Have you signed up for HSLDA? If not, please consider it then call or email them for resources on homeschooling a special needs student.
Here are a few things I found that you can read:

Above all, take time to take care of yourself too mama. Too many parents neglect themselves when rearing a special needs child or any child as a matter of fact. Don't 4get about YOU!
You and your son GOT THIS!!!!!
FYI...don't compare yourself or your child with anyone else. Give yourself and child grace.
If you believe in God, ask Him for strength and guidance in all you do even for homeschooling, selecting curriculum, deciding on a schedule, etc. Be guided by His will, wisdom, and might and don't stand on your own.
Sending XOs,
From Me 2 You
How about how to SPELL AND SPEECK
Absolutely! I have lots of videos on that. Being able to articulate your thoughts clearly is also essential This includes being able to think critically, question thoughtfully, and debate (with facts) effectively!
