Yes Bro I have been a professional musician for 30 years. I now sing for fearless floyd, a pink Floyd tribute and I do believe he is the best drummer in the world.
Seen brit floyd twice personally and anyone who can just chill out to some floyd is a winner in my boom.

He is not the best, but technically very impressive. He is still very young, doesnt have the feel of some more experienced players. He is far from hitting his potential. But easily an elite drummer, for sure. Not saying he isnt. But still, sometimes less is more

@@rykehuss3435 I disagree mate, less isn´t more here. He´s not trying to replicate the original songs, nor to "improve" them, he´s making a show and reminding us all how fun music can be. He overplays because that´s his deal , and makes an amazing trip out of every single note.
He is the whole package, cool guy 😎, hard work, humour, honesty, passion, enthusiasm, entertainment and technical ability from another universe. He certainly inspires me and I’ve been drumming 45 years. Really enjoy his clips 🙂

Speed, precision of a brain surgeon, control of that speed might be the most impressive aspect of his skill. This guy is amazing.
He's definitively one of the best if not the best. He is the only drummer I've seen that is relaxed while maintaining speed and accuracy. Doesn't even break a sweat. He knows how to incorporate many rhythms with his take any song he plays. Jaw dropping incredible as a drummer and as a human. Very humble and has humility with life.
The best drummer in the world in my opinion by far. He is definitely something special talking from a drummers point of view.

The sheer effort he puts in. The talent... sure... but the EFFORT. This is driven genius. Look at that catalog of music... the number of videos... the hours spent in preparation for each song... the endless practice and innovation of technique. The man deserves every accolade.

He’s the mad scientist of percussion. Using the drum key as the pivot to get the stick at just the right height. Changing his hand holds on the fly, not tripping over it and losing time.

I totally agree with you, I'm not a drummer, but I've seen a lot of videos of drummers, often very good drummers, but Esteperiano is out of the norm, out of category, out of the solar system even. He's the BEST

What always blows me away is his accuracy. Location on the bell of that ride (and everywhere else) doesnt seem to vary. So clean with everything and it never seems like he's working hard. It looks like a game.

Did anyone else notice the lug nut spin off the tightening rod on the snare drum at about the 3:22 mark? This dude is a beast! Probably my favorite drummer, along with Danny Carey!
It was the lug key, just took a closer look at it. He's an awesome drummer!

The absolute consistency in his sound makes him the goat. There are plenty of drummers that can play with a band (and they can even do very cool shit as well). Fewer drummers can be studio drummers, they may not have as many "cool moves" but their timing and consistent sound put them at a level above their concert performing counterparts. This guy hits the exact same spot on the snare, with the exact same force EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME! He just has "it" at a level beyond anything I've ever seen before!
That was NEXT NEXT LEVEL and even further. He makes unlistenable music amazing and fun to watch and hear. GOAT
I have more than a few favourite drummers but ever since seeing El Estepario Siberiano he has been my favourite
Check out the way he's using the drum key on the snare to blast the cowbell. Thomas Lang is the only other cyborg drummer I know of.

ok old dude here.....seen a lot heard a lot.......he has the absolute fastest hands i have ever seen or heard . is he the most artistic or musical that can be debated ....he can ..like the old jazz tune said....bury the tune if he wishes or gets carried away . totally over everybody by a landslide .

You should watch Eloy at 14 years old. He now MURDERS drum sets. He's the hardest hitting drummer I've ever seen. They are buddies. Eloy covers Metallicas "Battery" and Creeping Death and others like Slipknot and that drum set wishes it was never born!!
He does a Phil Collins cover that he plays up to 245 BPM that's insane too. He's the Sepultura drummer now and mind blowing. I can't pick who's better because they are both absolutely sick to watch. I get amazed every time. If you haven't already seen him you're missing out!

Thomas Lang ... there's plenty very good and very famous drummers out there ... said this ... i LOVE El Estepario ... i love his attitude, his character, his dedication and I admire his mindset which allowed him to become so good that people say he's the best in the world.

Without doubt super innovate and on-beat. Having seen a number of these extraordinary performances, I still wonder if there is anything less than 127. If so, he would really kill it, but I haven’t seen anything but full power.
There are at this moment 2 drummers i admire so much "El Estepario and Baard Kolstad".
Best technician? More than likely. He is phenomenal. His mechanics, body position, and rudiments are absolutely otherworldly. His groove is phat too. It's nearly impossible to critique what he plays. And I LOVE his philosophy toward his detractors - "If you spend as much time practicing as you do hating, you'll be a lot better!" But, best overall? Is there such a thing? Before we crown him the best in the world, let's hear some downtempo. Can he play slowly as accurately and in the pocket as he turns and burns? Let's hear some swing, too. Since you asked, my favorites are Jeff Porcaro, Dave Weckl, Carter Beauford, Vinnie Colaiuta, Hal Blaine, Bill Gibson, Liberty DeVitto...
