In what should have been the crowing achievement of his career, he was instead cheated out of the light heavyweight belt by a panel of judges who declared the fight to be a draw. Round 1 is ankalaevs. He had way more sig strikes.
Jan only started doing leg kicks in round 2 and 3. Round 1 he only had normal strikes.
So we have to go by number of strikes. There's no other objective way to score round 1.
