Tunis (Arabic: تونس Tūnis) is the capital and largest city of Tunisia. The greater metropolitan area of Tunis, often referred to as "Grand Tunis", has about 2,700,000 inhabitants. As of 2020, it is the third-largest city in the Maghreb region (after Casablanca and Algiers) and the eleventh-largest in the Arab world.
Situated on a large Mediterranean Sea gulf (the Gulf of Tunis), behind the Lake of Tunis and the port of La Goulette (Ḥalq il-Wād), the city extends along the coastal plain and the hills that surround it. At its core lies Ancient Medina, a World Heritage Site. East of the Medina, through the Sea Gate (also known as the Bab el Bhar and the Porte de France), begins the modern city "Ville Nouvelle", traversed by the grand Avenue Habib Bourguiba (often referred to by media and travel guides as "the Tunisian Champs-Élysées"), where the colonial-era buildings provide a clear contrast to smaller, older structures. The avenue also hosts the famous clocktower (برج الساعة بشارع الحبيب بورقيبة). Further east by the sea lie the suburbs of Carthage, La Marsa, and Sidi Bou Said. As the capital of the country, Tunis is the focus of Tunisian political and administrative life and also the center of the country's commercial and cultural activities.

Il faut s'attaquer sans pitié à la rue d'Espagne pour trouver une vraie solution. La municipalité de Tunis a failli à sa mission première : la propreté. Il faut instaurer des contraventions à ceux qui ne respectent pas les directives.
A tout le centre ville pas que la rue d Espagne 😢

C'est un pays sale, crade, les rues jonchées de détritus, les immeubles en ruine menacent de s'écrouler, il suffit de quitter le centre ville pour constater le désastre, d'ailleurs ça ne se limite pas à la capitale, tout le pays est très sale, quel dommage, ce n'était pas le cas dans le passé, le pays était magnifique, propre
Il y a du travail c'est certain mais certain endroit comme La Marsa sont dans un meilleurs état et peuvent permettre de montrer l'exemple j'espère.
Ne viens pas chez nous c est simple 🖕🖕

Je suis désolé monsieur Kalla, je suis moi même tunisien, tu crois que ça me fait plaisir d'évoquer ce constat désolant, mon but c'est de pousser a ce que ça change, et que les choses s'améliorent, j'aime autant que toi ce pays puisque j'y suis né, dire la vérité permet de prendre conscience de l'état de fait, c'est comme ça qu'on avance dans la vie, il ne faut pas attendre qu'un étranger découvre et propage sur des blogs ou par bouche a oreille l'image du pays qu'il vient de visiter cela vient ternir nôtre réputation aux yeux des étrangers. A mes yeux il y a 2 Tunisie, il y a la Tunisie des brochures touristiques qui est la vitrine reluisante pour séduire les touristes une deuxième Tunisie hors des cartes postales, celle qui souffre, qui manque de tout c'est le revers de la médaille, crois moi monsieur Kalla, que chaque fois que je rentre au Bled, j'ai le cœur brisé par les poubelles qui jonchent les rues, par l'état de décriptitude avancé des magnifiques immeubles art-déco de vrais joyaux architecturaux, qui menacent de s'effondrer qui n'ont jamais été entretenus depuis Belle Lurette, regardez la rue piétonne Charles de Gaulle avenue de France rue Habib thameur rue d'Italie et bien d'autres envahies par des étalages de bric a brac et marchants a la sauvette, dans toutes les villes où presque, il n'y a plus de trottoirs pour les piétons, les cafetiers et les magasins ont pris pieds et installé leurs chaises ou leurs marchandises mêmes les jardins et les parcs publics transformés en dépotoirs. Pour conclure, le pays a beaucoup changé mais pas toujours dans la bonne direction ce que je regrette amèrement, je souhaite que les choses s'améliore par une prise de conscience et une volonté ferme et studieuse a tous les niveaux pour qu'on continue à l'appeler "TOUNES EL KHADRA"

I can say hijab/burqa are not mandatory and many woman don't wear it.
Tunisia is a free country so a lot of women can wear whatever they want and they are not obligated to wear hijab
