The NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop is my holy grail! I can’t live without it!
I always wore higher end foundations until I tried the L’Oréal Infallible. That vanilla 445 is such a beautiful match for me! I am normal to dry and 62. Live in FL so humidity is a factor. I prefer more coverage due to dark spots etc but still want to look natural, and that is a beautiful foundation regardless of how you apply it. And it does last! Thanks for all your info as always and I may try a few of these!
I did try the EL Double Wear recently looking for full coverage and it’s a bit too matte/dry for me. I do like the Givenchy too but pricey for every day. Your shade match list is super helpful too!

Hi. I live in New Orleans too, so know the heat and humidity deal. My fav foundation by far is Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Light...wow. I have combo skin and my skin looks gorgeous and natural all day, every day. Beautiful in every respect. This formula of their classic is not featured enough.
FYI - The new Maybelline Super Stay Skin Tint also has Vit C in it and it wears beautifully, even over sunscreen. 🙂 And I would certainly love to see some BB cream, CC cream and skin tint reviews. I think especially for us 'aging with confidence' gals, these lighter, sheerer and more nourishing products can be especially beneficial, but it can be very expensive to find the rights ones for our skin. Thank you again for all of your testing assistance. You've helped me a lot!

The Dior foundations work well in my hot and humid Florida climate. Also love Cle de Peu foundation. My 80 year old skin can’t handle most of the brands you recommend.

Always go back to Estee lauder it's been around a long time and there's a good reason it's totally reliable and stays put. Love it . Two more that last all day is bareminerals original foundation and tarte clay foundation ,both are amazing.

I just wish you would include what primer you are wearing or not wearing with each foundation. I have the same skin type as you and similar skin coloring. I purchased the loreal infallible 24 hour fresh wear foundation. I just can't find the right primer to go under this. I'm almost 53 and have oily/combination skin. So I ordered it from Sephora and have been wearing it all week long! I absolutely love it!! I have normal to dry skin and this foundation wears beautifully. I love my EL Double Wear. It lasts forever. This summer I've gone to tinted sunscreen and been quite happy with that for the summer. And since it's summer most of the time here in Miami I may be wearing it for a lot longer. Thanks for your videos.

I just went to a concert here in Vegas and I applied the Estée Lauder foundation. It lasted all night, barely any shine came through. My second fav is the Armani one.
I agree about the Haus Labs foundation. I was very pleasantly surprised. It gives a gorgeous finish! And i am in my 50s with super oily skin. Didnt make me too shiny and that is unusual for me!
I'm also in my 50's with oily skin , I loved the Urban Decay Stay Naked foundation but Sephora stopped carrying it, I was wondering what type of climate you have. I live down in south Texas it's been in the 100's here plus humid most of the time, does Haus Lab stand up to high heat and humidity for you?

I wore a sample of YSL All Hours and it wore all day in the heat and humidity of Southern Illinois (near Kentucky and Tennessee). I wonder how it compares with Stephanie's favorites for long wear. I do own the Maybelline Matte and poreless but the YSL seems to have such a better finish. Love having some ither options!

I bought the haus labs foundation within the last year or so, i freaking love it. It has taken top spot for me. I had to throw away the foundation i had before because it just didnt look right after using the haus labs.
I struggled with a colour match as live in the UK so only online. The foundation was awesome just totally the wrong colour. ❤
I love how Estée Lauder Double Wear dries in place-I can touch my face and foundation doesn’t come off. It lasts all day in the southern heat/humidity. But I feel like I sacrifice looking a tad older for long-wear. Any advice on foundations you mentioned in terms of long wear longevity?
I only have the Nars light reflecting and Armani luminous silk, and then the rare beauty and Dr Jart tinted moisturisers but no longwear foundations. I like the sound of the Lancome one best
I absolutely love the Guerlain foundation. Totally agree with everything you said about it. But. When I have had this for about four weeks, I dropped it. It shattered all over my bathroom floor, leaving it covered in glass splinters and foundation. I have to admit, I cried a little....😢

Hey Stephanie! As much as I love your thorough and complete style of this review, I wear a tinted mineral sunscreen as my color base. A light dusting of mineral powder finishes my look to my satisfaction, and a dewy look setting spray usually returns my skin to a more natural look and helps with longevity. Of all these traditional liquid foundations, I see the Estee Lauder Double Wear appearing on many lists of favorites, and I wonder why no one ever talks about any of the other products in the huge EL brand. Could you please someday do a GRWM video of all Estee Lauder products? I know there must be some other winners in that deep and dense product line. Let us know what updates are worthwhile! I love ELDW mixed with the Esteé Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue for a more luminous finish.
I always found EL to have some of the prettiest shades of lipsticks too. I think a big issue is that they’ve never been “cruelty free”. They say they no longer do testing on animals but that brand has never received the cruelty free designation.
I have a vanity full of foundations, and I don’t know what it is, they all break down on me, & gives me shine on my nose. When I get home at 5:00I feel like a grease pit! Even the Lauder double wear. I have Chanel,Lancôme, Charlotte T, Dior Forever Matte my current favorite but I’m not thrilled with it. Maybe I’ll try the Guerlain. Sigh….

Maybe your skin is dehydrated? Do you use niacinamide in your skincare?
Most of the time I prefer fragrance over the natural scent of the products mixed together. I won't use something that smells gross and sometimes things just smell gross naturally and added fragrance is used to cover that.
I love the Haus foundation! (Alcohol helps foundation set faster and keep it free from bacteria.
And apply smoothly :) I know people don't like it in foundations but it can help them apply and wear elegantly. I'm glad you like it too!

Since they discontinued (not "reformulated") my go-to of 30+ years, Lancome Teint Idole, I've found Gucci Eternite de Beaute to be the best long wear full coverage matte foundation. Chanel Ultra Le Teint is a close second. EL Double Wear settles badly into my wrinkles (with primer). Perhaps you don't have that many wrinkles yet to test? 🙂
Hmm I should try the maybelline matte and poreless. I'm certain I've tried it at some point but I went through a phase of trying too many foundations and not giving them a chance really.

I wondered about that one too, compared to these others. I wore a sample of that today in my humid climate, and it wore really well.
I agree with a lot of these, except the CT foundation. That settled into every single pore I had. It was terrible. No matter how I prepped or primed. I have dry skin in a dry climate.
Could you suggest / do a video on longwearing LIGHT coverage since that's more what ppl look for in the summer? The old Dior F&B with the natural finish is my HG summer complexion product.
I realize this video is pretty old and you might not see this reply… but the Estée Lauder Double Wear Sheer is a good sheer formula that lasts a long time.

None of these particular ones are an exact replacement for it. I've been wearing Guerlain the most and texture-wise it's probably the closest. But Dior was incredibly versatile in so many ways, it's hard to dupe. That may come in my CC/BB/Tint video or another one :)
Since "glow" is ambiguous and used interchangeably with both pearl and dew, I think "Luminous Matte" refers to drier formulas (i.e. not DEWY/hydrating) with a slight pearl (aka shimmer). Hope that makes sense. Just a theory.

Hi! The one I'd eliminate is Luminous Silk. It's not long lasting on my oily skin at all. I know I said some foundations were edged out of this video so I could keep it to 10, but it wasn't even in the running. Either one of the others are lovely. I'd head to the lengthier foundation roundups with them to see what appeals to you specifically with each one. :) Good luck and thanks for watching! 💖

Nothing lasts that as long as a DW but sometimes it can looks a bit heavy, Loreal is one of my favourite (and the serum)... i recently bought the fit me maybelline and im not the biggest fan... Chanel is great and i think way better than the new Dior forever but still prefer Lancome teint idole, looks lighter, thinner on my skin but the shades 😅 are crazy and hard to choose, i think infalible can be a dupe for Lancome... btw im quite oily and live in a very sunny, humid climate, the struggle is real here to look good all day 😅❤❤❤

Tarte Amazon clay 16 hour foundation and farmasi vfx pro foundation. Can u test these out? I am 45 and in North Louisiana. I know how the humidity is. I’m trying to find one that really suits my skin and I’m tzone and allergic to cheap drugstore makeup. I have to use the expensive brands. I’m looking for new stuff this year. Esp concealer that is a good one. I can’t afford to buy everything to try them out. Why I’m trying to figure out which is best for me and buy them. What do u think of NARS concealer?

I'm glad you didn't give the de Chanel no1 foundation a mention because, honestly, it was the biggest waste of money ever for me. Will try the other Chanel you mention here😊

@@lisafeldmann9863 It settled into fine lines & wrinkles and didn't provide much coverage at all. It was also a bit too dewy looking for me, and after a couple hours looked terrible (and I have dry skin).
Can you get skinlike with doublewear?
I have pretty dry skin but it like doesn't seem to absorb as many products as it should and everything wants to pill on it. Also my nose like hates foundation lol. I can't get foundation to stick on my nose. I've tried gripping primers and eye primers but neither work very well on me. I don't understand. My nose is the only place I can get oily and I believe it's because I wear glasses that constantly rub on it, but I'm not applying foundation on when it is oily. It's so bizarre lol

The problem with Charlotte tilbury one is that it looks beautiful at first then the color changes into more yellowish and settles deeply into pores as the day progresses . It’s a big nope
I think people tend to misunderstand why alcohol is in some products. It's not always bad or drying and what not. These things are formulated together with the items use in mind. Brands aren't making products to harm their customers lol and chemists and stuff understand product mixtures far more than just any random person.
I found the best sunscreen for the heat and humidity!!!! It’s a Korean sunscreen P. Calm Water Barrier Sunscreen it is sweatproof it’s like a primer finish not too shiny no pilling and great under my make up ☀️☀️☀️☀️🪴🪴🪴🤍🤍🤍 it’s been a lifesaver for me working outside!

@@lilajane3 I love the HaruHaru Wonder the absolute best no shine it’s just silky matte like your best skin day ever … I just been using the P.Calm for outside work to not melt off 🤣🤣🤣 it is shiny but it’s the only one I’ve found I can wear no alcohol you know if any more?

I agree about Dior Forever, I'm not impressed with it. It's funny though that no one ever talks about Cover Girl makeup.
Does alcohol in foundation make the skin dry
i'm in my 50's with oily skin and live down in south Texas it's been in the 100's since June with high humidity as well. My favorite foundation is the Urban Decay Stay Naked I wear shade 30NN, but Sephora stopped carrying it. Does anyone know of a good replacement for that one in particular? That was perfect for me. I don't care for drug store foundation because it's so hard to match my light olive skin that is neutral, warm tones always seem to turn orange on me.
UD is phasing out and discontinuing Stay Naked unfortunately. It was a great one!

My wedding is in my home town of New Orleans in November, any Nola soul knows November can be hot as a summer day.. I’m about 40 and I’m a makeup artist and still haven’t found a foundation to last in my skin…. What would you recommend for me? I have larger pores, over the last few years I have gained a rosy undertone (it used to be neutral) I have some fine lines and my big problem area is my 11 lines… I have combination skin but more on the oily side. I’m so sick of wasting money on what doesn’t work. My clients look great but me 😭😭 ps thanks for your videos
Congratulations! I'd go for ELDW...do a few trial apps and runs with it, applying it like I show in my demo video. I don't even need a primer with it for it to last. Just it and setting powder. Try it without. Then try it with an awesome setting spray, which would be good for your wedding! It's no-fail when I want something beautiful that holds up like new all day/night! And yes, totally understand the heat that continues into December sometimes. Brutal!
I need help! Hopefully you will be able to give me some advice here. I bought 3 different foundations over the last month, and none of them are good. All of them seem like they are sitting on top of my skin, and my pores show, i look horrible! I have tried using a foundation brush, my fingers, and damp beauty blender and nothing is helping. Do you have any suggestions? I have spent so much money, im ready to cry

Maybe it is the skincare you use under the foundation?
I recently used the double wear foundation and it felt very sticky for some reason.
Check out my video on it and apply it that way and report back. It's not sticky but sets quickly as many long-wear foundations do. Also be sure you're always shaking your foundations before you apply them :)
