Where I live, some cell towers are disguised as the pine trees surrounding them. One was so convincing, I passed it every day and didn't notice it for two years.

I used to live in Long Beach across from the Queen Mary and the 2 Islands off Rainbow Harbor are oil well platforms that light up at night and have waterfalls, they are a beautiful addition to the harbor!

Signal Hill has a tone of those oil dinosaurs. That MCDonalds you should is on Cherry and Williow in Signal Hill. Long Beach used to have so many oil wells that the horizon looked like it was covered in pine trees.

I always wondered what that tower by Beverly Hills High was! I've performed with a theatre group that operates out of that school & I always use it as a landmark to find the theatre when driving down Olympic. Learned something new today!

Not completely accurate. They still have to go through environmental review and the public is allowed to comment on it. Also, the property owner gets a ton of money from the oil well, like that school he mentioned.

Well A well known theory is, when the U.S. Is no longer able to get oil easily from any other country and is put in a though situation like war for example.In which the U.S. Would need oil and wouldn't be able to invade to get more and fight another country at the same time.The U.S. Would be able to use their own oil that they still have saved up due to using other's oil for so long .

On Signal Hill and parts of Long Beach there are a few dozen horses about, even near Millers Hospital, sucking the oil dry
