@toufiquefr_ I agree with those 3 which makes me wonder when Liverpool fans say Alisson might be the greatest PL GK when I don’t think Alisson is better than Van Der Sar or Cech, let alone Schmeichel
Schmeichel used to play as a striker for much of his youth career, so he wasn’t terrible with his feet. He also played the sport of handball where the keepers there have a very distinct way of spreading their body out like an X as they rush out, making themselves as big as possible. He incorporated that a lot when he rushed out to meet strikers.
Honestly it was Mexico’s Jorge Campos who first started this revolutionary change. Of course it was not noticeable because he played in Mexico. He was a forward turned goalkeeper so his ability to play with his feet was great. I invite all you to watch some of his videos and you’ll see how great he was with the ball at his feet and a great keeper as well.

I introduced one of my nephews to PS a few days ago. He couldn't believe that a goalkeeper could score goals. He loved it. He's also an Arsenal fan.
