You should rethink your concept of spoiled kids. Realistically, if the father has been emotionally distant from his daughter and the only good things that have come from him are the things he gives her, then it would make sense why the daughter believes that getting everything she wants regardless of expenses will make her happy and not realize that what he needs to spend is his time. Trust me, you can be poor and spoiled too.
