    I have had the Z20 from August 2021 and I have now driven 6170 km with it, myself cycled with the throttle as support. the advantage is that if you have tailwind you don't need support. I changed the brakes to hydraulic brakes, I changed the sprockets, I changed the derailleur, I now have 7 gears, I changed the handlebars, I had the bike painted over and now the paint is well protected . I have replaced the controller three times because of water . Now I have placed the controller directly behind the battery in the frame and no more problems. It cost a bit but I still cycle with it every day with pleasure... nice videos, have fun with everything, greetings from the Netherlands. I translated this with google so there may be errors, sorry about that.

      @@JuraganGadget-tv Really recommended to remove the controller from the plastic tray and build it directly into the frame, fits perfectly behind the battery in the frame.. is a problem every time with rain and now no longer if you do that. ..., since today my Z20 is at 6790 km .... up 2 the 10,000 km, I want to have on the counter before August.

      @@JuraganGadget-tv Then the bike no longer works, no more display that works, .... the engine of the bike that starts acting weird, that's what usually starts with it. Look, if you never cycle in the rain, I wouldn't do anything about it and leave the bike as it is.

    Excellent review! I think Med and High should have pedal assist, with throttle overriding everything else. This seems more intuitive to me, and is the system used by the Fiido D4S. I’m deciding between that and this Himo Z20. The advantage of the Himo is its thicker tires that are better suited to bumpy roads. Cheers.

    Is it possible to get a bigger battery for the bike? I noticed the display can got to 48 volt

    How's the lack of suspension on it? It's 5kg lighter than NCM fold.

  • @AA-to3tv
    @AA-to3tv Před 2 lety +4

    I’ve got one back in 2020 in the first lockdown. The squeaky noise when you fold just needs a little WD40. But for the price and for a commute in London it’s been good 👍🏻. I think it’s all down to the rider in the end how you ride and how you throw it about around town. I’ve never had any issues. I don’t really fold the bike ever since I’ve brought it because I have a garage. I also have a seated scooter the kugoo M4 which is amazing. Good luck all with your electric bike ventures. If I have time I will do a range test for you guys just using throttle too, around London’s landmarks in central. (I live 10 mins ride from Big Ben.)

      I also have this bike and live about 10 minutes from big ben, what are the chances! I bought it reluctantly after getting my e scooter confiscated by the police but it's been pretty good so far. I think I've done about 500km on mine so far.

    I had the Himo Z20 and I think the lack of front suspension is really uncomfortable going over bumps and potholes. But it’s a decent bike. I recently upgraded to an Engwe C20 pro and I love it, it goes 50km an hour 😅

    Thanks for sharing your experience with z20 . Do you think the 6 gear on z20 is useful ? I'm leaning towards z16 if not , due to more foldable and back suspension included. Thank you

      @GuyInAMountain  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes. It is useful since it does not help going up hills.

    Hi Thanks for the 2 vidoes on the Himo Z20, curious how solid the handle bars feel when locked and riding?

    • @GuyInAMountain
      @GuyInAMountain  Před 2 lety

      It feels a bit loose, not too bad. You can adjust

    • @Random-jm7kh
      @Random-jm7kh Před 2 lety +1

      The handlebar is solid but the locking mechanism is poorly constructed it will become lose sooner or later

    • @Random-jm7kh
      @Random-jm7kh Před 2 lety +4

      On my bike the handlebar holding mechanism became very loose so the handlebar was very wobbly and unusable. After talking to himo about it they send me this video czcams.com/video/Y-kN4He9agI/video.html . Thought it might help someone as it helped me. Because it didn’t realized that there were actual screws in there I thought they are pressed in

    Hi! I recently bought the same e-bike. I don't like how tight the rear wheel turns. If you pick it up and turn it by hand, it will make only 1-2 turns or even less. Does your bike's motorized rear wheel spin just as tightly?

    I've had mine 10 months and the handle bars literally snapped right off , as in the metal at the base where it connects to the bike broke, I was lucky I was just coming out of my estate as I fell straight off ,lucky I wasn't ran over by a car . Also the brakes barely work the range is more like 20km the speed is more like 22 kmph at most and it's just a shit bike all round
