    Thank god dude this is exactly what I needed, I'm just starting off and animating is just too difficult. Being able to retarget these to more complex rigs allows me to do so much more with my time and accomplish more with my projects. Thanks again.

    Thats literally what I was searching. Appreciate it man. I just created a full on iron man IK rig with constraints and all. Just wanted to animate the rig quickly.

    I wish Blender implemented this by default, Its so useful. I don't like when great tools are plugins because with time they might end up not maintained inaccessible or simply no longer compatible with the latest Blender version.

    That Rokoko plug in is suddenly really popular.
    I going to try retarget to the Rigify generated rig.

    When importing mocap from mixamo or other sources, if the Rig comes in weird like that, try reimporting it with the automatically fix rotations checkbox applied in the blender import settings.

    How do you retarget with a root bone? I can't seem to get Location to transfer to the pelvis/hips, only the root has Location

    Nice, just what I needed! Small edit: you didn't tell people how to install the Rokoko plugin, which doesn't describe it on their page either.
    Also, it requires an account. I recommend bypassing that by changing the code to "logged_in = True".

    Rokoko still splits my character in to pierce after i try to retarget... even with limits on :(

    Hey dude, I retargered animations over to the exact same carbon copy of the skeleton and now the animation is bouncing all over the place, this only happens to one of the animations, you have any idea why?

    really cool video and good explanation. I tried this to transfer FPS arms animations from one rig to another. But it does no work at all (arms are at the complete wrong spots, fingers doing some wild movements in all directions etc). Even tho the bonelist looks good and I've assigned almost all bones that were not recognized automatically. I can't change the target rig, as it needs specific bones, bone names etc for the game. what can I do? does anybody know of a good way to retarget FPS animations? tahnks!

    I have a very challenging question I have a moose that has both IP animation and RM that I bought online only thing is for unreal the RM does not works its there but none working this is what the seller told me ( Hello! Unfortunately, to work in UE4, you need to redo the animation of the root movement in the original Blender3D file There is no other way to fix it.) would any one know how to fix? would be very helpful.

    It seems easy, but many time Rokoko make it a mess even if both the models have identical Armature. And you can not make it right what ever you do. Though Im not sure if the problem is with Blender or Rokoko addon .

    Hi guys, I have one question, maybe someone can save my life : I'm making a wood box model for a client, he wants to integrate the model in a Dota mod throught Source Engine 2.
    This is an animated woodbox with a cell fracture. Apparently armature and bones are needed to make the animation work on this engine. It doesn't make sense to me to create bones for each individual pieces but anyway : is there a way to create and link bones from the cell fracture animation in Blender ? Or do i have to do everything by hand ? Thank you very much by advance

    Quick question: So when I retarget the animation my model deforms and stretches completely. Any idea what’s causing this and how to fix it? I thinks it may have something to do with the armature modifiers but not completely sure. Greats video and explanation by the way! edit: ok I found what the problem was, basically all I had to do was transfer the weights from the original mesh as well as the armature.

    quick question, the rokoko live addon is for free but I still do need to pay for rokoko studio to use it, right?
    edit: nevermind you just have to log in to rokoko live inside of blender after creating an account, I thought you had to enable it inside of rokoko studio where it is locked as premium content

    Getting no joy whatsoever installing that plugin. Getting errors attempting to activate it on pretty much any version of Blender 2.80 and up. :-(

    Nice tutorial, how can i get a minifigur working, i'm currently using studio2.0 to convert lego minifigur and input to blender but i have a problem with it named "clutch power", so if someone know what i'm supposed to do, your help is welcome.

      Hi, I have never worked with studio 2.0. IF you want a lego figure I would suggest Mecabricks because I know it works.

    Question to anyone here, I downloaded a character with rig but whenever I load the .blend file the body is off to the side doing it's own thing and the rest is stuck in it's pose while the rig is in the t pose. Would clearing out the vertex groups and reassign them as seen in the video? I'm still new and any advice is welcome 😁

    I added anims for a gmod model that I imported,but the animation has some problems with the legs,I selected the bones and all,but the legs move kinda weird,is there any fix for this? It's only a legs problem,the rest works fine

    This techniques doesn't really work well with "IK" bones. It deforms them alot
