Just a thought, yoga mats have come into existence only recently. How did the yogis who used to practice yoga way before we cud learn it, never used any mats. Then, why do brands are making these yoga mats so costly. Isnt it unfair for someone who never wants to invest in a 5k yoga mat.
Great observation! We need to consider the ancient Yogis overall approach towards life as well. Only satvik food that they would either grow or source themselves, wear just a simple cotton cloth to do practice, bath with cold water before sunrise, and practice 3 hours every day overall their grit and sadhana was another level. Cut to 2022, you don't have to bother about the food we can get online in minutes, you wear the fanciest yoga wear and we give our self a pat on back for doing 30 mins Yoga class. Since our whole existence is around confort we need more support also, we have become weak physically as a race. So, hence fancy things and 5k for a mat isnt much considering you get a bottle of decent wine at the same price or one year netflix subscription.
@@NidhiMohanKamalYoga I guess you didnt get my point and rather took it as a criticism to your video. How you have sorted all yoga mats with cost, its a hand on solution for many.
I was genuinely asking, because its not that the world will always stay the same, and that we will always have access to fancy yoga mats, which I own too, bcz thats what we have been taught until now.

Have been madly using pvc slippery mat for a year now to practise suryanasmakar, am able to do almost 150 times and half of the time adjusting and pulling back my mat... i guess i can go one like Puma (correct me if am wrong)

Please tell cost effective Mat which does not slip at all on marble floor. I use jute cotten mat and cotton sheet on main mat, so no issue regarding quality of main mat. I just want that main mat must be absolutely anti-slippery on Polished marble floor.

An year back I got Ida yoga’s natural rubber and Jute yoga mat and I love it for it’s stability on the ground and the top layer is infused with jute which makes it very sticky to the hands and the feet. Also, full marks to it for a very good feel, and good knee support as well. Try it, It is available on Amazon.

Yes, it good for that price too. Suede is softer on skin, PU is grippier

I like the gravolite suede mat ..It looks awesome.. Can I use this matt with shoes? Does it fulfill all my requirements?

This was a very Informative video and it really worth going through the entire video. There is also a Brand called AIRAVAT,and they have some superb mats and Colors. They have various category in Mats and at very affordable price.The sam what kosha mat is around ,5k they have for 3k and I am sure the same.
They are not there on Amazon or Flipkart ,maybe for some reason.i have purchased from an outlet in mumbai and you may contact them. They are worth it!
