  • Bobcat provides operators multiple options to operate their Bobcat compact track loader or skid-steer loader. Bobcat product expert Mike Fitzgerald demonstrates how to use Bobcat standard controls, or commonly referred to as hand and foot controls when working with a Bobcat® loader.
    HAND AND FOOT CONTROLS OVERVIEW
Mike provides an overview of the hand and foot controls featuring two hand levers that control drive and steering functions and two foot pedals that control the arms and tilt functions.
    TRAVELING &TURNING OPERATION
Mike demonstrates forward travel, backwards travel and basic right and left turns using standard hand controls. Mike then demonstrates fast right and left turns.
    STOPPING PROCEDURE
Mike demonstrates how easy it is to stop with standard controls. Stop the machine by returning both hand levers to the neutral position and the hydrostatic transmission brings the compact track loader or skid-steer loader to a complete stop.
    FOOT PEDAL OVERVIEW
Mike provides an overview on the foot pedals used to control the arms and tilt, including how to raise the lift arms and how to tilt an attachment forward and backward (bucket in the video).
    FLOAT FEATURE FOR ATTACHMENTS
Mike explains and demonstrates how the float feature works to allow certain attachments to follow the contour of the ground for better productivity and work results.
    TWO-SPEED TRAVEL (OPTIONAL)
Mike demonstrates how to engage the optional Two-Speed travel for controlling the speeds in which your Bobcat compact track loader or skid-steer loader can travel.

Joystick is more laggy and less responsive than foot and joystick

Am I not remembering correctly that bobcat had a skid steer that ran forward and reverse with foot pedals?

I was actually gonna comment about that on this video. I wondered why it isn't an option? Makes the most sense. Best of both worlds. Fine control of each track with your feet, and front end loader controls on your right joystick. Would be nice to be able to have fine control over auxiliary hydraulics with your left joystick.

The only negative I can think of is your weight shifting due to you hitting the pedal, which could cause you to hit the pedal harder, which would shift your weight more, which would cause you to hit the pedal even harder and so on and so on. But I am sure there is a way to stabilize the operator so that isn't a problem.

They could have made this easier with levers to do shit and a gas pedal to make it go
