Ahhh this just saved me. The Maestria had been in storage for some time and water didn't run (steam nozzle worked though), didn't have descaling stuff so just used really hot water and voilá.
I'm gonna write the steps here so I don't go absolutely insane again next time I need to find out the nobs:
1) Empty stuff out of unit
2) Fill tank with descale stuff
3) Set steamer on steam (furtest towards front)
4) Set nobs to 4-1
5) Hold espresso while turning machine on
6) Press lungo
7) Wait
9) Empty stuff
10) Fill water tank with water
11) Set nobs to 4-2 and press lungo
There, no need to watch a video seemingly playing in slowmotion with the lady who takes 30 second pauses after every step.

I did exactly the same steps, when wanting to start step one by pressing the lingo button, the light changes from orange to white once than noting happen , any suggestion is appreciated

i descale once a year as recommended. this last time after using the 2 sachets of descaling solution, i couldn't get anything. i've tried using distilled vinegar, citric acid granules too. nothing worked. i ended finding a diy forum that informed me that i need a newelectronx oval screwdriver to clean out the calcium build up. seriously i didn't want to open the machine up, but nespresso wanted to charge me $149 to make the repair. the screwdriver cost was a fraction of that. opening it wasn't hard at all and i found the probelm of why it wouldn't descale. there was a load of calcuim build up in the brew group area. you'll know the brew group is clogged if the nespresso spills water on the counter. you'll also need to replace the o ring in there with any hot water temperature o ring. i got one at the local corner store.

I follow the exact instructions but when i press the lungo botton to start the descaling the orange light is not blinking like its still steady n orange light ..any idea please thank you...

I was sold a descaling packet from nespresso but my machine doesnt have the orange light on. Should i just wait for the light to appear?
Hi Yune, we would recommend descaling your machine every 2/3 months or when the orange light appears, depending on which machine you have. Many thanks.

How much water should i put in the tank?
Hi, to descale this machine you will need to add 2 sachets of descaling fluid to the tank and then top up with water to the maximum line so the tank is full. This is approximately 1.2l. Many thanks.

After following the descaling steps, my machine won't flash the green lights after descaling like the video. The espresso and lungo lights remain white. Is that normal?

Use distilled vinegar a lot cheaper and it works just as well

supposedly vinegar breaks down the scale in a way that could possibly allow larger flakes to clog water channels
I was givien one of these and I am trying to descale it but no water is exeting the coffe spout, instead its all pouring out from underneath where the cable is attatched. Help!

Thank you@@nespresso for such a fast response! I am in Sweden and customer service couldnt help me, I lack paperwork and cleaning the spout didnt help! The water never reaches it, it just goes straight through when switched on. It doesnt look to happen when it is just sitting, not to any greater speed at least.
