Got brought into sales in 2008 during the mortgage meltdown. I was selling Loan Modification services and my boss at the time brought me and a small crew into his office and showed us how it’s done with a script very similar to this scene (without all the vulgarity of course)
Damn shame how you guys ripped so many people off. I worked for Washington Mutual back in those days and loan mods could be done 100% free directly through the mortgage company by the homeowner, but they didn't know that. So many people wasted thousands of dollars for no reason.
@@patrickoakley7890 too bad banks weren’t advertising to their own clients to restructure their payments on loans they were upside down on. The percentage number of people who were given mods directly thru the banks were so low because of all the “hardships” you had to prove. They changed the name to Stratton Oakmont to make it sound more legit. Then, they'd set up wealthy investors on small trades - in which they manipulated so that the trade would make money. Just buy stocks what you chose by yourself. Why are they buying stocks that stranger tells them to buy?
No Internet in the 80s, so it was way harder to get up to date info and impossible to buy stocks solo.
dude plis tell me that your only objection is only that you dont know them....
Because they’re the 1%. 10,000 is a drop in the bucket for them
Back in the day, people would have to call in a brokerage house to buy stocks. You're essentially doing the same thing online today, just without having to talk to anyone else.
Because they don't know shit about stock, they just want to get rich. If it's too good to be true, then it most likely is not true. There is no quick rich scheme unless you're the private bankers at the federal reserve who make money, and then loan that money for free, and then charge interest on it. That is fucking criminal, and they get away with it as well, because they own the fucking country.
This was the place to be back in the day. Work hard, make a killing, play hard.
