You know what I can relate to the earlier part of your journey. Even when my poetry book got published earlier this year, I haven't really gone to beg people to buy it and as expected the sale of the book is extremely low but I have the satisfaction that genuine readers are buying it instead of my relatives and friends. Now, I do not know if I can be as successful as you are in the future 🍘
Exactly the reason one should never ask for subscription. It's just annoying I feel. Personally, I never ask for subscription because I don't want people to be obligated to me in anyway. You said rightfully, if they like the content, they will subscribe. I watch so many channels and yet I don't subscribe because it doesn't make sense to flood my subscription list if I am going to watch 1 or 2 videos here and there. Yes mam absolutely right this things is in our holy book in "Quraan"we should not tell about our dreams what we want to do in our life ..because everyone like to see results and sometimes its very hard thing to tell our family about our intension.
I feel so great listening to this video mam, i definitely agree with your advice. I too have a channel where I experimented with a few types of videos. The perception we have that sharing our videos on status or with our contacts will boost our videos is so wrong to believe. Even though I did so and through my journals I observed a pattern that I have not been consistent with my videos and every time I procrastinated was the moment when someone said "yeh Aisa maat Karo or yeh video nahi chalega or long form nahi chalta aajkal".
And these comments did affect my confidence in putting up new videos.

I also own a YT channel but no one knows. In fact I've decided to keep it secret until I become successful. It's a wonderful experience to do something in silence, it helps in better concentration and stay self motivated. I don't want people to give me unnecessary advices which would demotivate me.
Sometimes I feel like ' Am I doing something wrong by keeping it private? ' But today I felt that what I'm doing is right and there is someone who thinks like me. I felt each and every word you told.
