Killing the Manticore with no Active Abilities on Permadeath

I can't decide if this or the dual-wield net kill is my magnum opus. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun this run! I'm glad I chose to do it on permadeath, it got my heart racing a bit for the Manticore fight.
I did make one mistake on the build in that I picked Seize the Initiative because I was originally planning on getting Right on Target, a passive that boosts many stats when there is nothing in the off-hand slot. I would pick Dissipation instead if I could go back in time.

Haven't played this game in ages! Looks great. Why do you keep inspecting the boss? What info are you looking at?

Mainly his cooldowns. The only spell he will cast when adjacent to the player is "Vengeance of the Dead" which summons the stone spikes. Hitting him before he casts it is a free hit.

Open the "modes" menu to the right of the hotbar, then drag the reload button to your hotbar.

Problem with throw builds is they take up a lot of inventory space, unless there's a way around it idk
