  • Homemade Muesli | Oats Muesli | Oats & Nuts Breakfast Mix - How To Make Easy Muesli
Homemade Muesli is free from preservatives, and artificial flavours. It is loaded with wholesomeness of nuts, dryfruits, seeds and rich in fibre from oats and barley.
A great breakfast option with cold or warm milk!
This Recipe is by Juhi Kapoor @fitnessfables , a fitness influencer whose transformational journey of losing 25 kgs in 18 months has inspired thousands of weight watchers.
    Ingredients
    2 cups rolled oats
    1/4 cup Almond slivers
    1/4 cup broken cashew
    1/4 cup broken Walnuts
    1/8th cup pumpkin seeds
    1/8th cup flax seeds
    1/8th cup black raisins
    1/8th cup cut dried dates
    1/8th cup green raisins
    1/8th cup sliced figs
    2-3 tbsp Jaggery syrup(optional)
    Method
    1. Heat pan on low flame and roast the nuts and seeds for a few minutes till they turn crunchy.
    2. Now remove them and let them cool down. Meanwhile, roast the grains on the pan till they turn slightly brown.
    3. You don't need to roast the dried fruits or berries(you can add dried berries if you like).
    4. Now add all ingredients and pour jaggery syrup over them.
    5. Spread them flat and let them dry.
    6. Due to the stickiness of jaggery, some grains and nuts may bind together. Once cooled and dried you can separate them.
    7. Make for at least a week and store this in air tight container.

The original muesli Bircher Benner only had apples and lemon no nuts. I don't like the syrupy stuff in them though I like the dates. I would roast the oats in an oven to make them toasty. I would add oat milk on top

If you think this is a healthy option, you are wrong. As a nutrition counselor, I can tell you that between the sugars in all the dried fruit used and the syrup added to the already high sugar content of this muesli, you might as well have several snicker bars. Take out the dried fruit and all that syrup, put the remaining ingredients in a bowl add almond milk and chia seeds and you can replace your daily breakfast with a much healthier, sugar free filling breakfast. Look at the ingredients labels on all that dried fruit and notice that the serving size is 1 tablespoon. There are cup fulls of dried fruit in this. Learn to read those labels. Just because the packaging or the ad says “healthy” does not mean that it is.

If you want to be taken seriously cut the hyperbole of likening this to snickers bars just because of the sugar. That’s some tiny brain logic.

      @ritesh6687 Před rokem

Deborah, if you think a serving of the muesli in this video is equivalent to several snicker bars, then you aren't a great nutrition counsellor. The fats and natural sugars in dried fruits, jaggery and nuts all are beneficial to the body unlike the processed sugar bomb snickers.
