We are best friends from Australia and today we will be comparing the Saint Laurent Kate Monogram Shoulder Bag in the OLD and NEW small size.
We will go through the descriptions of each bag, what they fit inside and how they sit on our frame (we are all 162cm). We hope this video was informative and if you have any questions in regards to the bags, please leave us a comment below.

I shopped at the ysl boutique for the first time yesterday and I got everything in boxes. I also got the Kate style in beige. I’m in love with the gold Vs silver hardware with the ysl bags. Just my personal preference.
Just purchased the new small size online, the size comparison in this video was so helpful in making my decision

In regards to the box, it may have been the specific store. All of my YSL bags, have a box including the burgundy one I just got like yours. So, not true about the box.

It was very helpful video. Thank you ladies. Subbed. I think Saint Laurent came out a Kate leather belt bag which is super cute, I can’t wait to get one. Question: is the light color YSL WOC very easy to get color transfer? I don’t wear jeans often, but I wear dark blazers sometimes. I hate to ruin the bag but I love the light color, it’s just very refreshing. Thank you for your time.
Yes it is very very easy to get colour transfer on so you have to be really careful :(

in relation to the dirt - even though the bag was wrapped in what looks like the original packaging - Cult Status told me they rotate their bags - so it might look like you are getting something brand new in the box, but it has most likely been rotated prior - hence it not looking brand new. I've avoided buying from Cult Status because of this reason. When I am spending a lot I like to know I am getting brand new. I just go direct to the Aus YSL site or call Melbourne and they send pics and can send you brand new (if they have it).

Just that they are out on display for a period of time for customers to look, touch, try on, then they put them away back in their boxes, bring other bags out and so on - and the rotation continues. LV do the same thing (some of the time) which is why I go instore to look at the bags, but order a brand new one from the online store.

Love your videos! I am debating between a monogram woc and a kate bag. Such beautiful bags! I have an iPhone 7 plus and have a hard time with all chain straps, but I really like the look of the clean kate vs chevron monogram. What do you girls suggest? Do you think a iPhone 7 plus would fit in the new small kate?
The sales assistant actually told us that the new small kate will fit the iphone7+ 😊 Both the chevron and clean kate bags are so beautiful, it really comes down to which style you prefer!

It'll not fit a kindle, it only just fits the iPhone 7+ diagonally! It will fit your glasses in a soft pouch though not a hard one 😂

They have the new small kate n FarFetch but not in the east combo you are looking for. We aren't sure where else you can buy it, we bought ours at our local boutique in Perth :(

July Joy You definitely need to baby this bag, especially in the lighter colour. Colour transfer is a massive issue with the light colours so I tend to use it only with light colluded clothing. The edges also scruff easily aswell so you got to be careful 😕
The new small is finally available in stores but the sales assistant have been recommending the medium Kate.. now I'm torn between the 2, especially on the chain length 😆 any recommendations?
valyeo When we went in and tried the medium size and it was quite big on us, but we are quite petite (162cm). We also tend to wear our bags cross body too so the new small was perfect for us! Id say go for what you prefer, the sales assistant might be recommending the medium as they have lots of stock of it and as they know the new Kate will sell out fast.

Hi. Can you guys tell me if you think an iphone 6s plus* or 7 plus* will fit in the old size small kate? I am thinking of buying one used from someone online, and they're not sure because they have the smaller model iphone.
Zoe Roselli Hi Zoe, the old small Kate will NOT fit the 6+ or 7+. It barely fits the smaller 6/7 so there's no chance that it'll bit the larger size phone 😂 The new small kate will fit it though!

Hello, the sales assistant at the boutique we bought it at told us they haven't started selling it yet. I believe they are trying to phase out the small size first before they start selling the new small size!

I ordered one online yesterday from Neiman Marcus and it was labeled as "sold out" but the estimated ship date wasn't listed so I called them today and they said it was actually a pre-order and the bags aren't being released until March! Is it possible that I'm getting the new size small? Because the dimensions written on the site seem to be the same as the old size.. I'm so confused! Lol

this might be a strange question, but does anyone know how long the new small kate bag has been out? i'm looking to buy a kate bag that was purchased in 2015 preloved and i want to make sure i'm not getting scammed lol
If I’m not mistaken the new small Kate was only released in 2017 according to our SA and even then we didn’t see it on the ysl website until later on
