CHOOSE TO DO SHORTHAND IN LANGUAGE WHICH YOU HAVE STUDIED OR OF YOUR INTEREST
THERE ARE THREE SYSTEMS IN ENGLISH SHORTHAND BUT CHOOSE ONE WHICH IS WIDELY PREVALENT - PITMAN - EXAMPLE OF A MARUTI OR HYUNDAI
GO FOR A BOOK WHICH IS QUITE EXHAUSTIVE AND NOT ANY SHORT-CUT - PITMAN’S INSTRUCTOR AND KEY
CHOOSE A TEACHER (PREFERABLY WHO HAS BEEN IN THE SAME PROFESSION/FIELD AND HAS GOOD EXPERIENCE, THE LARGER THE EXPERIENCE, THE BETTER IT IS)
DO NOT CONSIDER THE DISTANCE OR THE FEE AS THE CRITERIA - FIND THE ONE WHO KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED AND HOLDS YOUR HAND
PREFER SHORTHAND NOTE BOOK AND STENO PENCIL IN THE CLASS AND RULED SHEET AND ANY PENCIL AT HOME
ATTEND TO THE CLASSES WITH FULL PASSION AND DO DAILY HARD WORK BECAUSE EVERY MINUTE PAYS
PRACTICE ADEQUATELY TO REMEMBER FOR LONG

Very good tips sir for the beginners who want to learn shorthand. Sound quality was also very good and loud. I would request you to kindly upload a video on the basics, i.e. the Vowels because there are many confusions in them and it is the base of stenography. For eg. we get confused where to use aw (heavy dash) and 0 (light dash) and other similar vowels too. It may kindly be explained matching with words pronounciation and matching hindi vowels. Please treat it as important.

Namaskar sir maine aapki kuch video dekhi mujhe bhot acha laga aap bhot achi tarah se guide karte hai. Sir mera result abhi aaya 19th march ko or mera C grade me qualify hue hu or maine abhii basic hindi ki book complete bhi kar li hai or 2 month se mai transcribe bhi kar rhi hu , meri speed abhi nhi bani h . Sir aap mujhe btay pls mera skill ka exam kb tk aa skta h or mujhe 110 ki speed ke liye kya karna hoga

Sir, how many times we should repeat a paragraph while practicing from kc ??..
Dear - rewriting of the passage is to be done after practising its words and phrases and directly from the dictation by increasing the speed gradually - it needs to be done to our satisfaction i.e. till we feel contended that nothing is left and every outline is perfect.

yes dear - that is the biggest obstacle - before deciding we need to take this into account - there is a risk of delay in learning on this account - that could be the reason a very few opt for it.

Outline yaad nahi rahati bahut practice ke baad bhi kya kare
Anyone here , I am very badly confused, I am in BA 2nd year(all online) and I joined shorthand , now I feel I can't handle both 😕 it will be too hectic, should I drop clg. Advice needed, any short or simple advice will be helpful too.
It is not that difficult and depends upon the commitment and the willingness to work hard.

Sir I have started learning pitman shorthand and it's been one month and I am still stuck to exercise 13-14 and chapter 6 ... Steno 2020 skill test is approaching and I am confused with Pittman coz tutor is unable to clear some doubts... Shall I switch to Gregg's??? Please guide
Dear - in my view, very few learn Gregg and you may find it difficult to get a tutor - difficulties and issues will always be there whatever we learn/do - search for a good tutor and go ahead - all the best.
@@satishchhabra6261 sir thanks for the philosophical wisdom but if I complete Gregg's manual by self study will I be able to achieve 100wpm in skill test by practicing progressive magazines and dictation? Or would I need some extra guidance??? Is the book itself is sufficient for shorthand learning??? Please answer this last question thank you very much sir for the prompt response.
Dear - personally I think that it is very difficult to learn on its own as the doubts are there and unless those are cleared, the incumbent is not able to proceed further - this has been experienced by you also till now - tutor acts as a lamp in the path to make things smoother - achieving 100 wpm by the 2020 skill seems to be improbable.
I will also be appearing for the 2020 steno skill test and was researching which one to learn out of the two.
I have zero knowledge of shorthand. I saw a few videos of comparison and one each of the begineers class. I think it’s better if I go for gregg as there are no reliable institution in my city and I have to prepare by myself.
But for @@titandust1162 I think you have already started and cover quite enough. Your hardwrok till now might be wasted if you change now, isn’t it?
@@subhg yes it was wasted and it was frustrating too my study lacked enthusiasm after the switch but I like Gregg coz it has no illogical outlines. yes, you have to remember a lot of brief forms and you can make your own outlines which a tutor doesn't allow you to... Some outlines of vowel changes as you progress but Gregg is best for self study... All the best

Prethi - I am pleased to know that you want to learn shorthand to start your career - most of the students are not able to complete the learning within the reasonable time even with the help of a tutor - in case you feel confident, you can learn on your own - in my personal opinion, there are very few students/tutors for Gregg as compared to Pitman system of writing and that makes the things more difficult - better learn Pitman shorthand through a tutor.

Dear - I suggest you to practice the difficult and new words more than the known words - practice the words of the exercise for minimum two hours in a day or till you get satisfaction/confidence.

Dear - certificate/diploma in stenography is available in most of the ITIs - it is not compulsory (including SSC) in most of the recruitments but a few ask for it.

Noor - One has to pass after getting a job - within 6 months or a year - I think classes are also held by the concerned department. But please don’t worry at all about this - people learn foreign languages and we are talking about our own Hindi - think positively.

Sahil - there’s no requirement of ssc for the system- you can follow any - they are concerned with the transcription at the required speed.

Sir shorhand notebook useful for beginners
It is suggested to beginners to use the shorthand notebook to help understand and learn the length of outlines and their placement etc - once they get used to then any notebook can be used for practice purposes.
