The first great crash of the video game market happened in 1983. The forces which caused the crash to happen are a different from the ones happening now. As back then, video games aren't going to go away, but the video game industry landscape will look radically different. It is less a crash and more a paradigm shift, and it is happening right now.

I've been calling this for a while. I haven't purchased any games beyond the PS3 era. it seems like that's when microtransactions started. now the games they make are incomplete, buggy, and full of woke crap. no thanks
