is it possible to have line crossing/ intrusion detection with PTZ cameras in Patrol mode?

HI i have 4 cams and dvr the good ones on the dvr ecah cam on line crossing you have no 1234 on drop down box so i can have 4 things can i have 4 lines each cam? as some one spoke to said no 2 they don't know what cams i have either why would it have 4 drop downs , also can you have motion and line at same time so they cross line and motion detects them too ? ty
I have a problem with a PANOVU camera, model DS-2CD6D54FWD-IZHS at the time of adding it to the NVR I can only see one lens and in your video I see that you can see the four lenses, I need help to activate the other lenses in the NVR the NVR is model ds-9664NI-I8
is it on a POE port or added via the LAN

Followed your instructions for intrusion alarm but when I apply I receive a message saying "Not enough resouce for analyzing human body pictures or analyzing vehicle pictures", this also happens if I try to put line crossing on to many cameras
Yes I have seen this before, but it can be caused by a few things, is the NVR on the most recent firmware, and under the VCA engine tab on NVR what is it set to ?

Been looking to find how this process can be achieved with v3.6 of IVMS, there doesnt appear to be any line drawing facility I can see. Version 2.8.2.2 works fine, this is with device DS-7204HQHI-K1 ....
Any ideas on how to do this.. with the new IVMS or .. am I missing something..

hi i love the videos very informative. im wondering if you can help me i have the DS-2CD2135FWD and im unable to remove the "max size" setting in the smart event option, i press clear it disappears then i press " save " but when i come off the selected page and return back to the smart event page its back there again. I tried the factory reset using the hikvision page in safari and its still there and as a result the smart event is not picking anything up , only the " motion settings " pick up movement and that picks up everything including the wind lol which is a pain. do you have any suggestions?
Thanks for this and the feedback , actually it should show max size when not used as the max size Is then the whole FOV , as for it not working I would need to take a closer look , have you made the min size very small and saved , what model are you using and firmware version?
Have setup line cross and intustion detection but have an issue with high number of flies setting it off. I have set minimum size of a person at distance but think a close up fly is setting it off :(
Hi Stephen , this can happen , some will choose to fit an external IR illuminator and turn the Cameras IR off flies are known to like to stick to the camera, I know this method does help , would this be a consideration ?

Hi , if you want to record a HDMI source into a DVR then I use the Hikvision DS-6701HFHI/V , If you want to record a HDMI source into a PC via USB for sceen capture then I use the magewell device
Is there away to reduce your images sent out directly from a Hikvision IP camera to 1 or 2 instead of the current 3 pics now? Thanks for your help and keep up the great videos!!
Hi ken , on the PanoVu there is multiple images as there separate cameras actually, but our standard IP cameras have main HD stream or sub-stream , and thanks for the nice feedback 😊
Hello sir..one question pls.
You can have intrusion and line cross detection at the same time right? But do they work well at the same camera but at the deferent areas?I asked that because I have some problems. I did everything you show us in your video and 1st if I enabled human detection, it did recognise human 5/10 times.either in cross line or intrusion. If I dissemble the human recognition it seems To work much better but only if I increase sensitivity. And then it notifies me for everything including dust...
At night things are much worse.even if I enable human recognition with increased sensitivity it does the job 6/10 times.i remove that future and it is the same as before..I have to mention that I'm also at smart event.
I really do not know what to do.
Please help me..thank you
P.s my system is HVR 4.0...

@@BestMotorWerks Thanks, the human detection works well , but make sure you have updated the Firmware on the camera also , have you also used the Min / Max object size filter??
Hi, wanted to know if line crossing on Hikvision Turbo HD DVR's will work with 3rd party cameras, or would it be quite limited to which non-Hikvision cameras work with smart events.
IP cameras that are 3rd party wont support this, but analogue and CVI, AHD , CVBS would be supported on the ~DVR channel direct yes , 2MP only

Hi , please go to configuration of the DVR and find the exception menu , in there select HDD Error and turn off audible warning under linkage action , and same with other events , the DVR should then stop beeping unless there is a event like motion detection linked with the audible warning
One question I have for line crossing. Is the function smart enough to detect the perpective of an image. i.e. if a person is standing close to the camera, they will have crossed the line already without having to be in the intended zone. The closer a person moves to a camera, the higher the probability of crossing the line or even being in an "intrusion-protected" zone. I hope you get my question.
Hi and yes I get the Question , on the basic VCA on the 2 line / 5 line cameras , then no whilst they have made improvements and you can add max - min object size then it can still trigger depending on object size relative to its position in the camera , its better than it’s been in the past , and some of this will come down to camera position and view , whereas the IDS models of Cameras / NVRS are much better at this analysis and give more accurate results and much less false alarms , I hope this makes sense?

Is the intrusion zone available on all channels of the DVR? Or is it only available on a maximum number of channels? Thanks!
Hi , on the NVR we take the VCA from the Camera itself so its possible to have it on all channels , unless you are using the IDS deep in mind NVR then we can support up to 16ch of VCA detection on the NVR direct ,
What software are you using? Blazer Pro or Hikvision Central?

What did you use to capture the HDMI from your NVR? I've tried using my Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition and it doesn't even sense a signal.
We use OBS software ( Free ) and a Magewell 4K capture device
Hi my line crossing is 1 min late coming into my email so i dont get a picture of the person who triggered the alarm .
There was an issue with the firmware , have you updated IPC camera and NVR to latest ?

Hi , the amount of areas will depend on the camera connected, 2 line allow 1 of each , whereas 4/5/6/8 line allow up to 4 areas

Hi , where is this ? on the NVR itself ? what model and firmware?
DVSLTD says on the in the dvr and web browser. Model is 7208HUHI-k1 8ch. Firmware is v4.21.002 build 190925.

@@craigr306 Ok please go to local gui menu of DVR not web browser and under the configuration option you will see one that says enhanced vca mode, Select this and unit reboots , cameras have to be set to 2MP then and HDMi output can’t be 4K , but it should give you the option to do all channels
