    I love how Judge Simpson can be serious when necessary, can laugh when things are funny, but when a defendant is not being represented properly, he makes sure that they are taken care of. He really does treat defendants as innocent unless, or until, proven guilty.

      It's not like he has a choice. If he proceeds the case gets thrown out on appeal for an obvious 6th amendment violation. So either he wastes his and everybody else's time or he adjourns till he can find an attorney.

      The only clothes I own are about 7 T-shirts,2 pairs of jeans 1 pair of tennis shoes, and 2 pairs of sweatpants for around the house and sleeping. So yes if I had to go to court it would be in a T-shirt but my clothes and myself are always clean and neat.

      I checked, and there was nothing. It could be she wasn't a defendant, and when she stepped out of the court, there was no authority to catch her.
      A judge is only king of his courtroom. Outside, he has no power.

      @@CourtCamTV911 If she committed an act of contempt in the courtroom, wouldn't a judge have authority to have her detained outside the courtroom, or would he have had to have told her she was in contempt first.... I don't know how it works....

      @@thedukeofnuts It's a good question. My guess is you need to hold them in contempt when they are inside the court. The contempt is a tool used for keeping order in courtroom and hearings moving. Hard to make the case someone being disruptive when she's not there.

      Two days for saliva tests to clear up, three to four for urine. It can take over four weeks for your brain's chemistry to return to normal, but that's not what's tested
