I’ve dreamed of having a farm all my life but unfortunately have never been able to afford property with enough land to grow more than just a few vegetables in a couple of raised garden beds. However, we recently bought a house with a larger yard, so now I’m finally able to fit a couple of vegetable beds and, best of all, fulfill my lifelong dream of having a small flock of chickens! 🥰 As happy as this makes me, having a larger garden and a flock of chickens to tend to is much more difficult at this point in my life (I’ll be 73 in a just few weeks), but the current state of our world makes me determined to produce as much of our food as possible despite the physical challenges that go along with aging. I’ve been watching several CZcams channels on homesteading in an effort to learn better, easier methods of growing and preserving more of our food and wanted to let you know that I appreciate your informative videos, along with your common sense beliefs and willingness to stand up for what you believe in and speak out against the evil that now permeates our society.

Hey Steven, been subscribed to you for a few years now and hear you talk about your faith every once in awhile. I'm a very devout believer in Christ and I have to say it was very refreshing to see your perspectives on the Bible and hear you talk more about your faith. Thank you for not being scared to say the name of Jesus. A lot of people on CZcams want to just say God or say they're a "person of faith" But will never actually say the name of Jesus Christ. I hope to catch you on your next live stream. Keep up the good work. Thanks for all your help. Me and my wife just started our first garden last year. We've planted about 6or 7 fruit trees a. Muscadine, grapevine and countless peppers and tomatoes and lettuce. Your content has truly helped a lot. Keep reading your Bible. Keep praying. I truly believe the Lord is coming back soon. I hope to see you one day if not here in the sky. You and your wife stay safe.

You have inspired me to stop waiting for things to get better, but to go ahead and start my gardens, orchard and chicken flock. Have had very small gardens for 45 yrs but in 2006 I started bigger gardens, started using chips in the garden and went “no till”.
This year I built two 4’x12’x 16”raised beds in my orchard to add to the two 6’and 10’ raised beds that my husband built for me. So glad because I’m no 73yrs and I appreciate no bending so much. They are instant gardens which grow amazing amounts of food fast. Planning to build more and fill my orchard. Thank you for sharing and encouraging us!😊

I don’t want to give my money to big business when I can do it all myself. Pesticides in my food giving me cancer.. no thanks. That’s what I’m listening for. I’m happy to see you thriving and learning as you go. The learning is such a joyful experience of this journey. I’m building a closer relationship with my kids with it and it’s great. They pass it to their friends and they are fascinated by our journey. The entire journey is beautiful. Watching the earth fix itself when you quit poisoning it. Seeing the bugs and animals harmonize with your land when you allow nature to come back to replace the stale grass lawns. It’s beautiful.

There’s no way when you consider the wonders of His creation, that there’s any explanation other than a higher being. Get a good study Bible and begin in Genesis, then study the story of Abraham and God’s promise to him. God will lead you in His Word.

Agree 100% surprised to see someone so young saying it.
Im not too hard on others that don't. Some don't have the mental capacity to grasp that community and society is breaking down. I don't think they're stupid but they don't question things and they're respectful and trustful of their leaders as they "should " be able to be.

Ngl.. When I first started watching your channel I found extensive value in the information you provided, but I thought you were just another Epic California liberal gardener. When you moved to the South and started farming, I knew you were alright! The majority of people will stay blind to the reality of what's really going on, but I have a feeling that once they're eating cricket patties they'll start whistling a different tune! We're the same age, but I'm a couple of years behind your farms achievements and will hopefully be catching up quick. Keep spreading truth and knowledge! We appreciate it!!

Great tour of your farm and great talk as well, as I have many of the same views. Wife and I are looking forward to moving to our small house on 4 acres of tropical rainforest agricultural zoned land on wet side of The Big Island. I would like to attend some workshops with Drake as how to apply KNF when we are able to afford to move. We plan on using a couple grow out hair sheep to “develop” sort of a silvo orchard pasture and possibly (if we have enough room) getting a mini Jersey. We were at the HOA in Virginia last weekend. Hearing others speak there verified we are in the right mindset to homestead. The useful content in your videos is over the top.

Now, we are planning our our garden and found you! Already built 4 garden beds. I have 100 seedlings begging to go into the ground but I hear we don't start until after Easter.

I'm a raw feeder for my cats and dogs. Appreciate your sharing the info about the percentage of eggs you used with your kittens! I've been feeding some raw eggs as well and have gradually increased the volume to their tolerance. Too much causes diarrhea. As I understand, the avidin does bind with biotin but the yolk provides enough to offset the effects with enough remaining free in the system. Eggshells can help supply the calcium necessary but younger animals have greater need for it. Approximately sized raw meaty bones are great!

Very little was store bought. Wheat was milled, straw and hay, an outhouse and a 10 x 14ft compost, with liquid catch shared beneath all spread in fall. Made our own wines and juices, took honey from the beekeeper, sold flour to the baker. Fruits were cherry tree, 8 plums, 2 apple, 1 pear, elderberries wild, 6 gooseberry, 6 red currant, 20 raspberry, 50 strawberry, blueberries wild, many herbs wild, walnuts and hazelnut wild and numerous other wild foods. We ate very well. We smoked and canned hams and sausages, pickled veggies, made an oaken barrel sauerkraut, made vinegar, combed n spun wool, wiped with quarter sheets of phone books, catalogs and newspapers, kept fish and eel live in a tank on the north end, 3x 5x5, sour dough rolls and rye loaves. We were as self sufficient as possible. Shoes from shoe maker, either knitted, wove or had Taylor made. Saved pelts. Life was good and I'm repeating it here.

The eyebrows got my attention. I commented to my daughter, "looks like 2 black caterpillars on steroids".
Joke aside, your knowledge on gardening is rich. Your awareness of global deception and domination is right on. It irks me tremendously that so many people are deceived, even Christian believers, but I am learning to come to grips with it whilst I continue to share the good news of the Gospel.
Thanks for imparting such valuable knowledge of planting techniques.
I reside in rural, beautiful Jamaica.

I am stuck in commiefornia because I am not willing to leave my young grandchildren but when they are older I will be moving to TN. THANK YOU for talking about EVERYTHING you talked about. From the lies about the poison jabs, the death of farmland, freedom and most important, God. Keep spreading these messages.

Just moved to 40 acres! Trucked in load after load of woodchips, barely scratched the surface. I sprinkled cold weather cover seeds around my house and started watering, and the bees must've come for miles just to see what i was doing!! 😅 (Actually, they may be my neighbors bees) 🐝

I raised my daughter, who was unable to nurse, on 1/3 raw goats milk, 1/3 carrot juice, 1/3 water and a little bit of celery juice (for folic acid). Raw goat milk is nutritionally the closest thing to mother's milk!

I knew a Beautiful baby Girl who couldn't nurse and couldn't handle dairy. The Dr that her Grandfather had seen advised pure apple juice ( watered down by boiled water) because unfortunately She was so intolerant of the Formula's available.
I saw that beautiful Baby grow up and become a beautiful Woman, who everyone adored, because of the way She was. RIP Beautiful Tamara till Everyone who loved You sees You in the Kingdom.

I mix table salt, sea salt & Himalayan pink salt together. The pink salt has 82 minerals naturally. Sea salt may have some nattural iodine.
The US & Switzerland started adding iodine to salt in 1924 because large amounts of the population had iodine deficiency goiter & or hypothyroidism. The US military were turning away large amounts of recruits because they had this iodine deficiency.
Adding iodine to table salt fixed the problem quickly.😊

Thanks for a great video. So, I have about 18 cu. yds. of leaves coming later in the month. My garden is 1760 sq. ft., currently I have cover crop planted on it. What do you think of this plan: In the spring, I'm going to cut the cover crop, then spread 3" of leaves over it and cover that with 5.3 ounce weed fabric. I'll plant through holes in the weed fabric and let the leaves along with the cut cover crop decompose over the spring/summer. I already have some pretty good soil which started as hard clay. I want to continue to feed it and I have no place to store the leaves except on my garden. Am I crazy or might this work?
