  • Following yesterday's announcement that a general election will take place on the 4th of July, GMB speaks with members of the Lib Dems and Labour Party, Daisy Cooper and Pat McFadden, to get their reaction to Rishi Sunak's speech.
Susanna asks Deputy Lib Dem leader Daisy Cooper if she's proud of the Lib Dems' record in government after the party enabled the Conservative coalition government in 2010, and questions National Campaign Coordinator Pat McFadden MP about the fact that voters don't think Sir Keir Starmer is a big personality.

How do you make an easy £100 million as a Prime Minister?
Step 1: Arrange a deal with the leader of a foreign government. His part is semi-legal. Your part is illegal. Agree to split any profit 50-50.
Step 2: Arrange a non-refundable payment of at least £200 million to that country and get it agreed by Parliament.
Step 3: Pretend you are going ahead with the illegal act.
Step 4: Wait until after a General Election.
    Step 5: Lose the Election.
Step 6. Arrange for your payment in a foreign bank.

Agree with some of the comments on here. I want purposeful, methodical and credible government and governors. Recent history demonstrates that is not what the UK has had. Give the job to those who have relevant experience and have shown they are capable of doing the job. The last 3 would have failed via competencies on the job application. Time to give the one who looks like they fit the bill the opportunity. We need to get back to a government who puts the country first and not those who put power for them, wealth for those close to them, rewards for billionaires and future interests before those who voted them in. 15 years - for what exactly? Some people say they fear Labour. I have no idea what that is based on. I do know that in some parts of the UK it probably feels more like the clock has gone back over 50 years in the last 15. There is no one else to point a finger at. How many times do you need to put your finger in the fire before learning it's not a good idea?

@@redlightmaxand exactly why everyone I know is going to vote for anything but Tory.
Local elections were a nice eye opener for many to see only 30/40% of people bothered to vote in most areas - for a general election... People don't want Tory, they'll take anything but that.

This election will be your last chance to save British heritage before Starmer and he’s Muslims MP mates are allowed to lay the foundation for an Islamist state.

I wouldn't bet too much, you'll be losing whatever you bet - you're more likely to see reform or labour (even reform will beat Tories).
