I just discovered a sniper called the Machine and it just became my boss killer. Kills bosses in 10-30 seconds on Wilhelm. 45 mag, 11.0 fire rate, no recoil, +100 continuous damage, and +150 critical damage. I literally just tag and bag bosses now.
I really like the inclusion of basic weapons, slapper, rifle, and ravages. But based on your reasoning that they work well with the Howitzer COM, they should’ve been lumped as one on this list. I think then you could have made room for guns like: 1. Moxxi’s Vibra-pulse. It goes with Laser Focus. Laser Guided likes that the multi-beam effect, let’s you focus on one, while softening targets before switching the reticle. The multi-beam effect also can proc Cold War on multiple targets. 2. Some skills are made better with specific basic weapons. Shock Absorbers requires hip firing, so Hyperion reverse accuracy helps. (if you jump, boost while running, maintain bonus). Vengeance Cannon is tied to your fire rate, so faster is better. Venom Bolts helps all corrosive weps and nades, which proc Cold War. So running with a corrosive Hyperion SMG when Vengeance Cannon is out, proccing Cold War, would be a decent power spike.
take a minute and just imagine playing through Borderlands 2 as Nisha the Lawbringer. all her skills as they are from The Presequel, but with the items and balancing of Borderlands 2. it won’t make sense story wise of course. (since she can kill future self) can you imagine how easy the game would be?
From my opinion, no doubts that Wilhelm is one of the best cha in pre sequel and I personally liked playing him the most of cause claptrap is fun and sort of useful with good builds and Athena and nisha is reli strong with specific builds but wilhelm is my favourite of all
Hey VinylicPuma, please make a video about leveling to 72. I'm a BL vet but new to BL2 and want to level my Maya to 72 and have some fun. I have watched pretty much all your BL and BL2 videos and liked all of them. You pretty much just have content regarding which character is fun, end game gear, specific gear and the different types of missions. I don't see much regarding the walk to 72, specific to Badass ranks (you have one on how it can be improved though) and how one should level to get the most out of it or to do it fastest. I am currently on 54 and have finished the main story 3 times. I have played all the dlc at least once and pretty much just want to get to 72 and then to farm end game gear. I know from my first few playthroughs (on PS4) that I should save my badass ranks until I know what I'm going for but as I am still quite far from 72, I still don't have a solid idea on what to do. My friends are all 72 and just motivate to grind through the main story until you are close enough to just grind skags in arid nexus. Is it really this simple and grueling? Please show us how YOU managed to grind your characters to 72.

Hyperion weapons work great with Shock Absorbers skill, by offsetting hip firing inaccuracy. Vibra-pulse laser because its chained attacks could proc Cold War skill, freezing multiple enemies simultaneously. Easiest gun to acquire. Rocket launchers and Scav miniguns reloads take forever, perfect for resetting First to Fight.
If you look in a certain way, Axton and Wilhelm are the same except: *-Wilhelm is a cyborg (Pre-BL2)* *-Wilhelm uses Surveyors instead of Turrets* *-Wilhelm doesn't have grenade bonuses.*
Clap- Trap Axton is comparable to Whilhelm and also Jack (like Axton, Jack has grenade bonuses, uses turret like holograms and gets most of his strength from kill skills).
Wilhelm is not weapon specific aside from the laser disker and a couple others. The Slapper is a terrible choice. Wilhelm has no special synergy with torgue pistols. CLAPTRAP is the one with multiple synergies with torgue pistols, most notably the loose cannon class mod with all his explosive buffs + the pistol subroutine. The Company Man is just a good gun overall. It's good because it's good. It has no special synergies outside of any other shotgun with the Mauler class mod. Ammo regen is good no matter what gun you use. I love torgue assault rifles, but this isn't a good weapon for Wilhelm. All he gets are his explosive buffs, which he honestly doesn't have that many of. He can't do the crazy stuff Claptrap and Jack can do with explosive weapons. Maliwan and Tediore Splitters are both very good, and for once yeah, lasers do have special synergy with Wilhelm. Railguns suck dick. They're shitty sniper rifles. Get a Wet Week and compare. Wilhelm should be using his laser ammo for blasters, beams and splitters. If you must use a railgun, get one like the excalibastard. Kaneda's Laser is another weapon that does have special synergy for Wilhelm. So that's 2 on your list. Likewise the Rosie is pretty alright with Wilhelm's ability to tank. 3. Ravager lol. The Ravager is good with everyone. And almost everyone does more with it than Wilhelm. Athena can cash out her elemental damage, Jack can go nuts with explosive damage and Claptrap is the Ravager god. Even Aurelia can freeze with her action skill and combine crit damage + explosive bonus. Absolute Zero is just good. But Aurelia and Claptrap get more out of it imo. So in a list of 10 guns, I would say only 4 even remotely have synergy with Wilhelm. The rest are either generic good guns or strangely out-of-place choices which seem based on personal preference. Wilhelm's explosive damage is really best when paired with his other buffs like laser damage, see also the Laser Disker or Tediore Splitters. When it comes to shotguns, I feel like Wilhelm can use pretty much anything you like with his Mauler mod and make it work. A Jakobs Quad or Flayer is probably better for him than a Ravager.
IMO also, he is best with the usage of corrosive weapons, like the Blowfly and the Snake can be proven pretty powerful on him togheter with an Equalizer COM (+Bomber Man or Corrosive Duality.) He is generaly good with Shotguns, espacially Jakobs, because of his good reload, recoil and crit damage usage. I'd say that the Boomacorn or maybe the Moonfacer is at attention. Not to note how good he is with Scav tripple barreled shotguns, he then can tend high accuracy and fire rate + good ammo consumption into one making it one of the best weapons he can use. Aside from shotguns, ARs are the weapon class he can evolve further with some hidden tweaks. An Dahl AR, Either the Double Tap or the Minigun can proc Cold War to an high extence. They are also good with the Systems Purge, just for the damage boost. Jakobs gets good all-around bonuses that can help them improve much further. Not to note when figthing in a vacuum, shattering air masks also procs Cold War, giving him the ability to use lesser weapons that doesn't tend to have an element. He is very different compared to every other character. He has the strength to become anyone in power. To generalise himself in every playstyle. He's good with Tediore weapons, Espacially Tediore Splitter or Laser Disker (Blaster COM or Howitzer) gets magazine bonuses from two sources, Cold War Proc with each relaod, Ammo regen + Reload speed etc. From most part he is best with weapons and shields that can in some way proc some of his major skills or having Dual-Elements, weapons that lack speed, (i.e Wet Week or A Spitter.) Weapons that have an high base critical value and so forth.
On par with Railguns, I think that Athena is the best to use them, with the Exalibastard she can make an hybrid playstyle, melee and shooting, stacking Fury of the Arena, Maelstrom and the one where you get gun damage for each enemie that is shooting on Aspis can all be very good. In other words the Cannoness COM is asight for Shotguns and weapons with high base damage or low recoil, such as the Major Tom or even the Gatling Gun.

Wilhelm is my firat character in pre sequel and I really like him cuz I feel I can play way more up in enemies face with my Saint/Wolf and slam. I really like the benefits of O2 kits and the mobility of it but it really is annoying to always think about replenishing it. But im getting the hang of it.
Pistols: Jakobs/Torgue grip for pure damage, Vladof for fire rate, Dahl for less recoil, Maliwan for increased elemental chance, Hyperion is the weakest Shotguns: Best stock is Hyperion, Grip should match with the manufacturer for ex. Interfacer with Hyperion grip SMG: best stock is always Dahl, grip should match with manufacturer like a dahl grip is perfect for the sandhawk however bandit grips are the next best thing Snipers: Dahl stock, matching grips Rocket Launchers: Torgue for pure damage, Maliwan for increased projectile speed, Tediore for reload speed, Vladof for fire rate, Bandit for mag size Sights all depend on preference

@@xigbarii8432 Recipe is : 2 legendaries of the type of gun you want (i.e. 2 legendary lasers if you want Absolute Zero), and a random purple rarity. There are couple good recipe lists online, and should double check, in case I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure that recipe works. It can be annoying hard quitting every time the grind fails, because you want to reuse those guns until you get the legendary you want.
Have you ever seen a trickster mask drop in game? I've been trying to get all the heads for each character and I have none of those. They apparently drop from shadow trap.

I also haven't gotten 3 bladed torrents in a row whilst farming for skins. Like I have I southpaw with the emperor. Freaking bladed emperor. Bane of my existence.
Aurelia. Her Cold Money tree is the best early to mid game tree I’ve used that makes me feel powerful already. Throw 1 or 2 points in Duchess skill, for massive accuracy buff, and you’ll have a ton of fun going up Cold Money tree. Bitter Riposte is a 1 point wonder. And if you replay/retry her, you can build up Avalanche stacks for specific areas and bosses, and wreck face.
I mainly use moxxi’s vibra pulse and the rosie. Also is my rosie broken or something, it’s fire rate is 1.2 compared to the one in this video which was 10.2
It’s amazing, and easy to acquire. Absolute Zero is more powerful, but E-gun is something everyone can get early (Lvl 20 ish) guaranteed, no farming, from a side quest.
So this is the list of the 10 best weapons with Wilhelm...IF you use a Howitzer class mod. But if you want to actually stay alive vs the tougher enemies of the game, your better off using a legendary enforcer class mod... This list is pretty useless as most of the guns are random drops, and nothing special. Whats next VLP? A list of Wilhelms top 10 weapons to use with a Mauler class mod? How about a scorcher class mod? A list of his "Best" weapons should be based on his "best" class mod being used. As a long time Wilhelm user, I can say NONE of those weapons would be on my list of his "best". As even the rosy is a punt, because its great on everyone. Swing and a miss VLP.

I had a purple jakobs Gatling gun on Wilhelm and I found that it did tons of damage. Especially on larger enemies.

So this is the list of the 10 best weapons with Wilhelm...IF you use a Howitzer class mod. But if you want to actually stay alive vs the tougher enemies of the game, your better off using a legendary enforcer class mod... This list is pretty useless as most of the guns are random drops, and nothing special. Whats next VLP? A list of Wilhelms top 10 weapons to use with a Mauler class mod? How about a scorcher class mod? A list of his "Best" weapons should be based on his "best" class mod being used. As a long time Wilhelm user, I can say NONE of those weapons would be on my list of his "best". As even the rosy is a punt, because its great on everyone. Swing and a miss VLP.
