There are many things that can impact your ability to become pregnant. In today’s episode, I’m reviewing the top 10 things to consider if you are TTC.
Some of the things I cover are:
💙 Environmental Toxins. Avoid microwaving food and plastic containers or bottles. Always store food and glass or stainless steel containers. Million Marker offers a test to find out if you have in-body toxicity.
💙Being sedentary. The CDC and American College of OBGYN, both recommend exercise in amounts of 150 minutes per week. Avoid over exercising, as low BMI can also cause fertility issues.
💙 Food allergies or intolerances. Work with a nutritionist to find out if you have a food allergy or other food intolerance. You may also want to consider working with a specialist if you have PCOS or using Pollie.co to help you manage PCOS if you have it.
💙 THC and Cannabinoids can affect the motility of the fallopian tube and the receptors in the lining of the uterus. This makes embryo implantation harder and it might not happen as quickly as you would want.
💙Nicotine. Nicotine can affect the DNA and the egg in the sperm cells, and it can also affect a woman's fertility such that she could go potentially into menopause earlier.
💙Blaming birth control pills. Many people think that birth control pills "cause" infertility, but the truth is that because they regulate your period they may be masking the indicators of infertility. Make sure you get your hormone levels checked with your doctor every year to confirm your levels.

Hello, I am new to this channel and I have been enjoying all your videos. I do have a question my husband recently got a semen analysis done and everything came back ok except for his morphology it came back at only 2 and I was told 4 or higher are considered good. Do you think at that score we would be able to conceive naturally?
I had all my levels checked and so far I am fine.
What I do in a case like yours is: repeat the analysis, have your husband see a urologist to evaluate him for a varicocoele, have him stop / reduce alcohol, no smoking/THC, sleep well, decrease stress, and get into the best shape of his life. You can consider about 3 IUIs and if not successful, talk to your doc about needing IVF to fix a potential fertilization issue. Doing a sperm DNA fragmentation test could also guide you re: if IUI is still a possibility with low morphology. Great question!

I had a laproscopic appendectomy last year. I don't believe it burst, but it was close. I did need iv antibiotics for three days. I recently asked the surgeons office if it would affect my fertility and they said no, but should I be worried? We just began TTC 4 months ago. Thanks so much!
I did not have an idea that getting pregnant would be something difficult. I can see many women thay get pregnant so easily with only one chance and in such a bad health conditions that it is not clear to me why for others it becomes such a hard journey.

@@joycemusili6559 hi Joyce, this is the time when your period stop. All women run out of healthy eggs most of the time after the age of 43. Only a small percentage of people can have a pregnancy with their own eggs over 40. You can still have a baby even after menopause though. Talk to your doctor about all your options. @@joycemusili6559 I have seen women of 50 having babies... few women but yes, it can be possible. And as I said, there are women in their 20s that are struggling having a baby, so age is important but not determining
@@hghj22 @Joyce Musili I totally agree, first I believe in the power of prayer and divine providence. I am different from other people so as you are, we are very unique human beings. I have been very healthy all my life and I had go through many hardships, I had 2 children after 35, naturally, I had several miscarriages due to low progesterone, which I corrected with progesterone cream. Shortly after that I was single again, and remained like that over 10 years. You can have a baby at 40, 50 and even 60. God blessed me with health, I am out again, trying to meet someone special, and I will like to get married ( the first marriage was invalid) and to get pregnant again, naturally...new studies are debunking theory that all eggs are at conception, no a woman can have new eggs cells. I think that If I meet a special person, I will be eating more food to promote fertilization
and try to have a baby, I do not know if any doctor will give me fertility pills, I am not sure If I want that route.

I’m currently going through a Miscarriage, and HCG is still lingering in my system… and unsure if it’s possible to ovulate with some HCG in the system? It’s been 7 weeks now, and my HCG is around 30-40 and I have yet to have a period.

Two fertilized eggs did not make it past day 3. My labs and diag test, and husband labs wnl. I’m 37 and hubby 51. Was on gonal 300, menopaur 300, ganarelix and hcg trigger. Any suggestions?

What I tell my patients is this: You aren't a number. These levels fluctuate from one cycle to the next. We just use them as a diagnostic tool to tell us what treatment expectations should be. My thought process is: consider tracking it and just keep showing up. Consider being as aggressive as you feel comfortable being and see if your doc can help you ovulate more than 1 egg still and if you have a cycle with a great follicle count, consider even doing IVF if that's possible for you.

HI.....I am new to your channel... started TTC for my first when i was 30...4 years later had my first positive and unfortunally it was an ectopic.I lost my right tube...my doctor said that i had lots of scar tissue (which was cleared up during the surgery).Made all tests later and there was no reason why i had so much scar tissue.My other tube is clear thankfully.Now we are trying again for the last 11 months still nothing....i turned 36 last month and been stressed cause now i am over 35...I recently started opk tests and my period is regular...exactly 28 days and ovulating the 14day.No POS and exactly 5 day period...like a textbook....everything normal...could scar tissue develop again?still have a good chance for a natural conception?i live in an island and we dont have fertility clinics here.Thank you in advance....
My concern is that while the left tube that you have remaining may appear open on HSG, the reality is that the scar tissue could make it almost impossible for the egg to get into the tube. So make sure you talk to your doctor about the HSG and have them show you the images and review them with you. If you don't have access to a fertility clinic consider another laparoscopy perhaps to remove scar tissue if it reformed. And see if you can get a consult from a fertility doctor that's close to your island. Also be sure to still check sperm. We can't assume all the issues are because of the tube. See if your local doc would consider giving you fertility pills so you have a higher chance of ovulating on the side that you have. Your body doesn't pick the side that has a tube to ovulate from. You could ovulate from the right side most months.
@@EggWhisperer Thank you for your response....when i had laparoscopy it took almost 4 hours.My doctor said that he cleared everything also in my uterus and my left side.He checked the HSG with me and everything looked great.We also made an ultrasound and it was great....before my ectopic it was a little bit foggy...He told me to try for 1.5 year and then if i am not pregnant yet we will talk again.The bad thing is that both of us work lots of hours per day almost every day 15/24...and its hard to have lots of sex.Thats why i started opk tests not to miss my ovulation.Every month we have sex 1 or 2 times in my fertile window.Is that enough?
ntina someone consider another hsg if it’s been a year of trying. I’m glad you’re asking all these questions. I think that having sex once or twice in your fertile window could be adequate. See if you can try three times or so. Every other day starting a few days before ovulation.

I'm 39 have 21yrs old daughter been trying for 15yrs with no luck and for the first time in yrs I miss my period for 4months just spotting now and then too afraid to take pregnancy test done too over the yrs and all are negative , so maybe my eggs are finished ,
Get your AMH level checked! you know the saying: knowledge is power. Get the info so you know what your options are. And there are so many options. Just because a woman has run out of eggs doesn't mean she can't have a pregnancy. You can use donated eggs! And if you still have eggs left then you will know and can see a doctor who could help you.
Went to see the doc today and did a blood test,tsh,prolactin, testosterone,Lh,fsh ,I'll get my results in a few day then do an ultrasound after ,he did examine me and say everything seem ok so after the tests he can go forward 🙏 , thanks for you reply

This is so interesting ! You talk about melatonin. I already take 10 mg to go to sleep at night. My question is : Could I continue after an embryo transfer or should I stop ? A pharmacist told me the data were not sufficient and he recommended I stop, but it really helps my sleep. Thank you !
