I really appreciate this video. When I was a kid, my dad had one of these, and I loved the way it sounded. Thanks for posting.
PS I'm intrigued by your opening logo video.
Thanks
Really fun to see how little has changed between this and the Svea 123R
nice video thank you for upload. Today just bought one for 3O bucks and looking forward clean it and refurbish tin :) Would like keep this stoves for next genereations. The need to see the last proper fighters !
Cool, that's a good buy. its old tech but they still work great.
Great stoves. Would love to see some more wood gas stove videos if possible!👍
I currently don't have any wood gas stove videos in mind but you never know.
@@planetsideagent All good i just love how great they look when they burn.
Nice Collection ...
Just found this and the 81 in a freebox in fairbanks ak, both work but i couldnt figure out how, until now, greatlittle stoves..thanks for the tutorial.
Great find! Those stoves are hard to find and getting more expensive every day. Take care of it 🙂
I clean and restore these stoves like the svea 123 and 123R along with the 8R and 111, 111B etc, and I found the safest way to get the spindle assembly off the tank is to take the bell off, fix in the corner of the bench vice with jaw protection and turn the tank slowly, try to tighten the tank just slightly before unscrewing it, that way you avoid rounding off the nut. just my opinion.
P.S. sounds like the jet is a bit dirty, or it is starved of vapour.

Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for the video! What alcohol for the warm up did you use, and what would you recommend for the burn? Much appreciated 👍🏼🍺
To prime I use Heat in the yellow bottle but denatured alcohol also works. For fuel I use Coleman fuel also called white gas or Naphtha
Mentholated spirits for priming
Maravillosa pieza !

I made a pentagram key from a slightly over size allen key, I think from memory 3 sides of the allen key were a perfect fit and 5 minutes with a good file were all that were needed to make the other two sides fit, I don't think they are a perfect pentagram

本当にそうですね。私はそれらを長く稼働させたり使用したりはしませんでした。それらは単に展示用です。🙂
Where do u get the fuel and what kind of fuel does it take
It uses white gas also known as naphtha and Coleman fuel.
Any sporting goods/camping store should have it.
@@planetsideagent Thank you much appreciated
what is the type of gaz or fuel ? this is nafta ?
Yes, NAFTA, aka white gas, Coleman fuel.
@@planetsideagent ok . i have primus optimus 71. i never use . tank you for information
this is friction alcool ? or methanol ?
For priming I use Yellow bottle “Heat” alcohol but any alcohol will work, denatured or meth.
You can also use the stove fuel to prime but It creates a lot of soot. Alcohol burns clean.

And how much fuel is placed in the fuel tank, and how long does it burn at full refueling?
I'm not sure, I've never tested it.
I wonder if the fuel is leaking out of the nozzle. if you carry a primus in a backpack?
They seem pretty tight, you might get some leakage from large elevation gains.
I'd wrap the stove and fuel bottle in a plastic bag (bread bag) if for no other reason to keep the gas smell from permeating your pack contents. If your pack has outside pockets I'd carry the stove and fuel there.
