Tfw when you said,"This looks more like a real firearm than a Star Wars gun" and the original Star Wars literally used replicas of WW1 and WW2 guns as props
They actually used a lot of real guns in the original trilogy; most, if not all, of the blasters in the newer films are based on replica weapons, though.
That machine gun or sniper from the original trilogy was an MG42 from WW2
@@darknewbie342 actually an mg34
@@tomnguyenthetrain They had two variants, i think even a lewis gun too.

Me: they don't

Lol
lol I was just about to say this!!! haha very funny
I WAS ABOUT TO SAY THAT, BUT IM TOO LATE!! T~T
They don't, but death troopers do.
I love how he used better trigger discipline than most gun channels
I believe it’s bc he’s an actual fire arms instructor which I find funny bc he reviews nerf guns
did you forget he's a gun owner?
its the firearm guy in him but I also use trigger discipline
He actually owns firearms so, makes sense.
It’s almost like he owns firearms.
Looks like Nerf standardised the performance of all their Star Wars blasters to match the 'grey trigger' restrictions in some countries.
He is a FrankTrooper/StormCooper
He is Frank Cooper
Stormcooper all the way
Nah CooperTrooper

Did you know :
When you put the darts in the blaster and prime them, what a few seconds and when you fire, the darts will glow green
Fun Fact: Not only did the original Star Wars use real guns to make all the blasters, in some of the scenes, if you slow the action down you can see them firing blanks.
but frank don't you know? all star wars guns are just modified real life guns so of course they'd look similar. han's blaster is just a Mauser c6 modified.
Yeh bro
*Mauser C96. Also, there are a few blasters that aren't based on anything.
+Quarax right. I meant to say c96. also which blasters are scratch built?
mrtyler603 The EC-17 (scout pistol) is the only one that I can think of from the original trilogy, but the prequel trilogy had a few, like the the ELG-3A. The newer films also have some: the NN-14 from The Force Awakens was custom made (although the grips were clearly based on the Mauser C96's), and I think Pao's blaster in Rogue One might be custom (but it's very hard to tell with the currently available reference material). However, some of those props still have found parts on them.
cool. The only guns I mainly noticed was the jawa gun, han's gun, the one made from a sterling smg, and the one made from a mg42
99% of all comments are like “Frank all Star Wars blasters are based on real WW2 guns!“
Jordi Tsulukidze and u are one of then
They actuality were
Because the first starwars movie, all they had were old ww2 weapons. The creators decided to use those.
lol I was actually going to say something like that.
-and vietnam guns
Star Wars guns were mostly just WW2 guns, so it makes sense that it looks like a real gun
nudl3Zz but he said they looked like M4s, not WW2 weapons.
@TirinVengeful Some more modern weapons were also used for the blaster props in the original trilogy (www.imfdb.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_The_Original_Trilogy). The AR-15-based blasters in Rogue One (s19.postimg.org/yp6gv0xgh/28170390910_f10a385c82_k.jpg) were based on the M16-based A280 (www.imfdb.org/images/c/c1/A280_blaster_rifle.jpg), which appeared (mostly in the background) in Return of the Jedi. The A280 was actually itself based on the StG-44-based A280C/A295 (www.imfdb.org/images/a/ab/SWBTA280.jpg), which appeared in The Empire Strikes Back.
Yeah, the A280C from SW4-5 is actually a Sturmgewehr 44.
TirinVengeful the only Star Wars blaster that was modeled that way was the rebel blaster which was modeled after the M16A1 or A2. Most of the other guns were modeled off of WWII or WWI guns.
Mike Wienekamp The only film the A280C appears in is The Empire Strikes Back.
The interesting thing is that, that it was a long long time ago...
In a galaxy far far away
On a planet
why didn't you mention the darts are glow in the dark and the lights inside charge them?
Get rekt
yes, they do...
Deathtrooper does light up and nerfs are glow in the dark pretty cool
nev Tk 1100p
He has said it in every other video and plus his sleeping pattern is all wacked up
Could the Cassian Andor blaster possibly be modified to accept half-length darts with magazine feeding?
Yes I’ve seen it done
I own the Sergeant Jyn Urso blaster myself! (bought it at Intertoys for 30 euros)
FireDollar 30? That’s way too much imo
I have it and mine shoots 5 feet
Wayverlee Just Dance
According to research, some sell it for €50.
He got a jackpot 0w0
A little expensive.
Over priced much?
There's a special feature for the pistol and the death trooper darts, the included darts light up if they are in sunlight because it helps them charge up , especially if under a black light. So if you fire them in the dark they glow!
Coop can u make an original combos video of the Jyn Urso Blaster
The pistol isn’t just reminiscent it literally is the receiver of an m4/m16
That first one actually has a pretty nice lighting effect when it fires.
I usually hate that stuff.
3:40 when he has the optic and stock on it, it looks pretty cool. Just add on an awesome paintjob and modify the way it shoots, and you'd have a fairly decent nerf gun
Taking off the optic and leaving the stock makes it look like the shotgun from Halo.
Frank, most star war guns are based on ww2 and some modern weapons
Someone once said that multiple unboxings at a time sound like stirring macaroni and cheese and now I can't unhear it.
its got real firearms looks because all star wars blasters are based on real guns with mods
There are actually some blasters that aren't based on anything.
SKotty Cat bork
yeah, and some are not modded at all, they are just kinda odd guns
some look like it, but they have the base of a real gun, just covered in random stuff.
Dark Angel Dreadnaught Actually, I'm pretty sure all of the blaster props modified their base guns in some way (although some modifications were more minor than others), except for maybe Dengar's MG 42 and 4-LOM's MG 34 in The Empire Strikes Back
I have Cassian’s gun and hearing the noise it makes through a camera is just so funny
3:48 They cant 😂
The Sergeant Jyn Erso stryfe thing looks in between a SR-25 and a Mp5 SD as you said, I am no gun nerd but that's just what I think it looks like. (This nerf Blaster really really really looks like a SR-25 in the deluxe version.)
Why would they make the color scheme so bland?
Luke Hillman because it's a toy gun and they have to use bright colors for people to not confuse them with real guns I think...
Talking Controller yep cause back in the 80s many people confused the zapper a toy that came with some NES consoles and the government made it so toy guns had to be more colorful to not confuse kids
I have that death trooper gun it so cool!
BOBBYBOI it’s literally a remake of a green first order blaster. Came with the sight and stock
@@Jmyoun88 not true
Nerf combos:
Sergeant Jun Blaster.
-Imperial Death Trooper Blaster-
When you attached the stock to the second one it gave me Sten vibes
Do a storm strooper
Stereotype
Nice. But we should more than stromtrooper. Bring the 501th legion of course ! The only soldiers with skills. Because they are volonteers instead of cloned soldiers.
Coop laughing at blaster noises just made my day!
Edit: Your laugh is so cute!
"How can they hit anything with these stupid masks on?!" I see what u did there.
Lim Ming Quan they can't lol
they literally have the biggest masks in the galaxy! heh heh heh
we can
Lim Ming Quan Han Solo refrence.
Lim Ming Quan the stormtrooper armour is useless why do they where it
Jyn Ersos blaster is based off the M4 or AR gun type it is actually an A280c blaster in Star Wars and that is why it looks like it
bro, u should do super soaker hydro canon combos!
hey coop, you do know that each of these blasters can light up the darts, that's what the lights are for. like a rayven mag.
2:00 most star wars guns are actually based off real guns
This is basically like a nerf stereo type star wars gunner. Primary will be the Jyn Erso Blaster, secondary is the Death Trooper blaster and the backup is the Captain Andor Blaster
(Most people won't get this)
The semi auto one could be used to make a nerf Terran Repiblic Trac-5 from planetside 2 :D
MagesticMango hey I get this, I love PS2, still play it today. It does look reminiscent of a Trac 5, though.
lol
With the stuff he sticks on the semi auto flywheel right at the start, it also looks a little like an M36 Lasgun, though even fewer people know what that is.
lol
or a patriot (Modified m4 without stock and sawed off barrel)
coop, the reason why the blaster looks similar to an AR is because most weapons used in star wars were based on real guns, that blaster is based on and m16
do a combos video on the flywheel stryfe-like gun
regarding what you said about SW guns vs RL guns. originally, all the Star Wars blasters were modified WW2 gun props
Han Solo's iconic blaster?
a broom handled Mauser
Boba Fett's rifle?
an old flare gun
the Stormtrooper blasters?
German WW2 SMGs with scopes and folded stocks.
Old comment, but the Storm Trooper blasters were based on the British Sterling
“What a piece if junk!”
CuppaTeaExe hey my brothers got this for me before he died of leukemia
I might have amnesia because I don't remember asking
note that it is not Lyn's gun but actually Cassian's gun. Go look up "Nerf Star Wars Captain Cassian Andor Eadu Deluxe Blaster" its the exact same thing but blue and has a, scope, stock and barrel attachment
Star wars blasters are based on real guns a lot of the time.
The guns from the original are modified unarmed versions of real guns these guns in the new movies are totally fake weapons
@Aaron Jerrell They actually did use firing guns in the original trilogy (you can actually see spent cases being ejected from the E-11s sometimes).
Quarax still not twitter
If you dident know all the classic blaster from the 3 original movies where based on WWII weapons such as the mg 34 for the dlt heavy blaster. The E11 is a sterling smg. The standard rebel blaster is a Stg . The T-21 is a lewis gun without the magazine on top.
HEY! WORLD! LOOK FOR THAT ROGUE ONE BLASTER ON EBAY YOU CAN BUY IT IN GREEN!!!! IT ALSO HAS A STALK AND SCOPE!!!😍🔫
IT SAID IT WAS A TOYS R US EXCLUSIVE! BUT I COULD NOT FIND IT ON THEIR WEBSITE!!! LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO BUY IT ON EBAY!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! I KNOW THAT YOU PROBABLY HATE ME FOR WRITING IN ALL CAPS!!!! I don't care.😐
Luis Benjamin Diaz I found one in a toys r us it has a green first order storm trooper stock
If you watch the older star wars movies you'll notice all their blaster are mixed and matched WWII guns stuck together with different optics and parts to make them look different from the actual model. So in following with Cannon traditions the newer films are also gonna do the same. I'm not a huge nerd on Star Wars blasters but what I do know is a certain blaster rifle is a modified MG-43 I believe
HEY C00P, can u do a combos for the captian cassian andor blaster like if agree
Coop the Death Trooper’s blaster is called an E-11D
Can you do a combos on the jyn erso blaster
I love these Star Wars blasters because of the sound effects
They expect us to buy bc of the sound but it just makes you not want to buy it
Justin Nguyen the sound is what makes me want to buy it.
U can just cut the wires of the speakers or put a switch there.
Or give it to kids so that cant shoot you
The lights in the Cassian Andor blaster are blacklights to charge glow in the dark darts.
Is it just me or does the single shot pistol look like a tec-9
more of an ar15 pistol
I think that is what it is based off yeah :D
The Hebop Nation yay... Another oversized jolt reshell, except less powerful and it makes sounds and lights.... Yaaaaaay....
The Hebop Nation actually, no. If you look close, it's an AR pistol of sorts
I suppose it looks somewhat similar to the TEC-9, but, as Coop points out, it's based on the AR-15, just like the larger blaster.
I LOVE THE SOUND OF COOPER OPENING NERF GUNS
"how can they hit anything with these stupid masks on?" simple they don't.
I'm a little late to the game, but that gun IS a real gun. Both cassian blasters are more or less modified or "reskinned" AR15s chambered in 22lr. The real Star Wars gun they're based off of is simply just an AR with movie props stuck to it.
Take the Cassian Andor pistol and compare it to a standard AR15 receiver. Everything is the same, from the mag release to the dust cover to (like you mentioned) the charging handle that primes the weapon. Even the magazine looks like a 20 round Ar mag. There's even takedown pins ON THE BLASTER. They really went hard on the details for this one.
Star Wars strife? Like if you agree
The Diamond Dylan I dont know what strife is because it doesnt exist.
do you mean a stryfe?
Stryfe, and no
All the star wars blasters are built by prop modelers out of bits of real fire arms, like some of the storm troopers run around with an LMG that was made out of bits of MG34 and Lewis gun. Han's blaster was a broom handle Mauser... etc
Lazy prop supervisors at disney, sawing off M4s and stuff and calling them blasters
I know, I know, but at least they had a bit more imagination and did the best with what they had
+Awesomeman 3243 The DLT-19 is actually based on the very similar MG 34.
Not only does Disney not have any hand in designing the props, but this blaster is actually heavily based on the A280, a blaster from Return of the Jedi.
the one the rebels use in Endor, right?
Awesomeman 3243 Well, the only film they used it in Return of the Jedi. Rebels use a a few different blasters, like the DH-17, A280C, and the DL-21.
Adding the stock to the Death Trooper gun makes it look like the shotgun from Halo.
One of the big features of this line is the new glow dart system (the uv leds when the blasters are primed). Star Wars branding aside, there aren't a lot of stock glow dart blasters out there.
The Cassian Andor blaster is a cooler Firestrike for the same price. The Death Trooper is a Triad with a bunch of junk added on. The Jyn Erso blaster is great, and I found it for $20.40 at Target.
It's actually based on the STG44, the main change is that AR handle but it's based off another Star Wars gun that they remade for the film!
5:22 Gotta say, tge Death Trooper blaster sounds awesome when it is both cocked and has the sound effect on
6:07 Thought you had three arms for a moment!
The darts are glow in the dark in all 3 blasters that's why there are lights at the front of the barrels to charge the darts so that they can glow
All right, coop.
The reason why that gun (and many other) star wars blasters look like real firearms is to save costs in designing. Some Light machine guns in the star wars universe are based on the mg42, the World War lmg.
This "space junk" you said is the powercell of the blaster. It is required to shoot.
The "this other (light) turns on" claim is actually the glowtech system used to light up the star wars darts.
Finding this early videos is priceless
Fun fact, star wars guns are just real world guns with a bunch of crazy attached to it ro make it look different, that's why Jin Erso's blaster looks like a real gun more than any other nerf (same with cassian's)
hey coop why the starwargun the flywheel thing because his battery is weak because your fps is 51
3:44 that thing looks sick with attachments!
The models used in the original trilogy are actually real world guns just with bits and bobs glued on so that’s why they have aspects of real weapons
Coop, I had a really great idea at 3 in the morning. You should do a series where fans send darts made from different things, and you fire them and see which is the ultimate dart.
I don't know if you knew this, but most star wars guns were based on real steal. Lucas actually put multiple guns together for the movies, go rewatch them please
2:06 Actually, a lot of Star Wars blasters in the movies are just real life weapon props with some stuff throw on them to look more futuristic looking. The best example is Han Solo's blaster which is a Mauser C96 pistol with stuff added onto it to make it look more like a blaster than a built firing pistol.
A lot of star wars blasters look like mashed up real steel guns because that's actually how they make a lot of those props for the movies. So of course when they make a nerf blaster out of a laser blaster that was mostly made out of an AR-15, you get a nerf blaster that looks an awful lot like an AR-15 with some sci-fi greebles on it.
You know why i like this guy?he knows about nerf and knows about real guns.
You're awesome I did something bad today and then I saw you uploaded a video and got happy you brightened my day thanks and stay tactic cool😎
i'm late, but that's an A-280 in star wars lore. The A-280 is a kitted up AR with a MP5 grip, you got it right on. In the mandalorian, a couple have AK dust covers on them, but the lower still looks AR so i'm not entirely sure. Also, the casian blaster is a cut-down AR
the one that caught your eye and said the pistol grip is like an m4, is because the gun from rogue one that one of the characters use are made from an m4 for its model.
The props used for the rebel A-280C (the blaster that most rebels used in rogue one) was based on an m4/AR with random shit attached just like all starwars guns
Coop, you are aware that maybe the reason the Jyn Erso Blaster doesn't preform well is due to the fact that it has a 'try me' feature, which wastes battery, which in turn slows down the fly-wheels.
The flywheel only shoots bad because you are using bad batteries from people using the trigger from the store to see the lights
2:07 awesome space blaster guns-that are based off of real life guns from WW1 and onwards...
The death trooper seems like it would make a pretty solid masterkey on a longshot or something similar
Frank, in case you aren't aware, a majority of Star Wars guns are based off of real firearms. A great example of this is the DL-44 (Han's pistol,) is based off the infamous Mauser C96 pistol. Great video though, keep up the good work!
Fun fact: Star Wars blasters were made from real gun props, Example: Han Solo's pistol was made from a Mauser C96
Frank. It looks like that because the star wars guns where all based off real guns wich where modified. Han's DL-44 is based of a Mauser C96, The "Death Trooper" one is based off a 9mm C1 as far as i know. The A280 blaster rifle wich is probably mostly seen in Battlefront and on the battle of hoth is based off a German STG-44
actually I think the reason the star wars guns look like more like real guns is they're based of modified props of real weapons/components rather than entirely unique usually. everyone knows han's blaster is based off the Mauser C96 "broomhandle" for instance
The purple light charges the star wars darts and makes them glow
Frank Star Wars like other scifi movies used real guns and molded copies of them. For example the movie Aliens used a Thompson submachine with an underslung benelli shotgun and a ton of added furniture. Han Solo uses a WW1 broom handle mauser C96. The stormtroopers used a british late WWII Sterling submachine gun. The weird piece you refer to is a stubby mag where the magazine on a real gun would go. The rebels in Hoth used modified M16s. Some of the other stormtroopers used German WWII MG42s. I'm sure nerf modders will take advantage of the rebel modified m16 to make more realistic looking nerf guns.
2:01 that's true but also they had to make the props somehow, like for example the DL-44 (Han Solo's Blaster) is made from mouser pistol but with a few attachments
The I boxing part is awesome
A friend of mine gifted the Jyn Erso blaster to me. It's really cool
Up to you but you should do a stereotype star wars edition!
Star wars blasters used for filming are actually real guns with a few cosmetic changes.
Nerf stereotypes-The rebel- use jyn erso and cassian andors guns (in the movie they were both cassians)
Han solo-use han's pistol adn chewies bowcaster
stormtrooper -use stormtrooper rifle and pistol
Cassian Andor’s blaster is a jolt reskin with sound
My friend has the Imperial Death Trooper blaster and it's really not bad.
