he forgot ash blossom. that will rek D/D too. But more importantly any deck gets bent over by handtraps. He speaks for like every deck since ever. I like that his traps have diversity, but I don't run witch... just too clunky and doesn't exactly do a whole lot. Just target-pops... needs Dark Contract with Errors for that permanent trap stun. This is old META so a lot of it is different now, but I run Gust High King too, and that guy helps make HUGE plays. Especially when he becomes a 6,000 attack destroyer of virgins. For this new meta I would even run a D/D/D Superdoom king Bright Armageddon for that first effect, where your opponent cannot target D/D's you control with card effects. That guy makes plays happen when your opponent is forced to helplessly watch you combo and can't solemn with your perma trap stun and can't ghost ogre your monsters with Bright Armageddon.
RazorEdge bright king is basically rendering card effects useless against D/D/Ds... right?

This guy seems really up himself, don't worry guys, feel free to play Trade-in over Desires if you want to, it'll be a bit slower but it'll still be a powerful deck.
Difference is, desires is a +1, but trade-in could still be used, not just as good.
Kek Sai to be fair trade in gets things in grave and doesn't fuck over your engine. plus I'd rather draw trade in off of trade in then pot off of pot anyday.
I'll agree on the last part, I hate when I use desires and draw into another one. But I would rather keep my ragnarok in hand instead of discarding it.
i heard that "Ghost Ash & Beautiful Spring" can stop pot of desires. i know that a lot of people are gonna play "Ghost Ash & Beautiful Spring" in their decks, when it comes out.

this deck. omg this deck... ever since the first pendulum structure deck, they've been making great structure deck, but this... (ok maybe monarchs) is just amazing even though it doesn't all come in the structure deck (like monarchs, minus majestys and kuraz. lol $2 more)

my fave combo is that 3500 beater add 1000 because of witch contract then add 800 due to the pendelum I believe it was the one he said "it just looks sick" it really helps out when they got a 4000 beater on the feild

If this deck is designed to go first what cards could you use to defend yourself?
Can't really say anything about this deck. I would really see , beside the combo video, a test hand video. Because i'm running DDD without Copernicus and CEO and i'm winning 7/10. Using desires is really risky even if u r running 3 of everything. As for Phoenix I'm running Eradicator Epidemic Virus because it doesn't only ditch the opponent's sets and in-hand traps/spells, but also chain them for 3 turns which is a sure win by then. Nice to have u back Dave. ALL HAIL "LONG LIVE DDD"

desires on a casual or local level became cumbersome for me it wasnt until i went with my competitive deck that had trips of most everything
i love this deck so much im playing it minus the desires and the barrier so what would you recommend to the budget player ?

Another card that would be good is ddd leonidas. Prevents contract damage, level 7, a 3 scale and a decently powerful monster.

I wonder if you guys know that "into the void is legal at 3"- 4 upstart goblin basically that's 4 deck thinners plus it got allure and trade-in. Not to mention, a card like "where arf thou" could be a possible 2/1...find ways to get the combo pieces faster, also substitutes for desires ...strange that Dave isn't 'maining' maxx "C" its still a good card at 2, men are afraid of the challenge unless they're going to surely win...Must say tho...I'm glad to see Dave on Sam's channel again and don't worry we can still shaft Zoodiacs #moreskillanyways

i feel like people don't give trade-in enough credit in this deck when i play it allows me to extend my combos further than desires did

If you still can't afford Crystal wing I would simply add more D/D/D Synchros and Fusions especially a second Ceaser Ragnorok and maybe 3 total Beowulfs. Maybe you can't OTK but you can bring out a big board and basically keep your opponent on the defense and bludgeon him to death.
