I wanted to ask for the sake of the DDD Research Lab if "Stardust Warrior" could be another thing to bring out from formula and siegfried since it could stop the special summon of a monster and it can recur itself. Just throwing something out there.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that the deck isn't so bricky anymore. The new link helps it a lot and you have many in-the archatype searchers as well as desires and allure of darkness
@@john_kou2756 The deck looks consistent because there's gate that searches the missing combo piece and Kepler can search Gate. Then you realize that most broken combos require Kepler on the field that you can't actually search with Gate because you need combo pieces too. Then there's the fact that most combos are 3 card combos, add this to what I said above and you get a deck that before trying to win against other decks, it must win against itself. Desires is a super strong card for combo decks but you must see it. There are several times when you don't see Desires but you see cards you play in extra copies because of Desires itself. Sometimes you see more than one Desires which is basically a very bad Upstart. Same thing when you draw Desires with Desires. And all of this happens much more when playing 3 Desires. Then the deck basically dies if the opponent throws any hand trap. Veiler, Impermanence, Ghost Ogre, Ash Blossom, D.D. Crow, Droll, Belle, Nibiru. Super Poly destroys the field if you don't go for the Carrier combo (which is harder if you activate Desires). Dark Ruler No More is probably even worse but at least you have powerful boss monsters like Caesar Ragnarok that can turn the tides again. Evenly Matched at least doesn't destroy the deck because of Siegfried. The only 2 card combos require to play targets in the main deck (the Artifact one) and also require playing cards you wouldn't play in the first place like Thomas and Orthros. Other 2 card combos only put 1 negate on the field which would have been bad even 3 years ago. The deck seriously needs other ways to go into your Dark Contracts, some archetypal draw engine or both (think about Pantheism of the Monarchs). Overall the plays you can make now are even stronger than before but the main deck still has the problems it always had. The deck was only meta when the other meta deck was suffering from the same problems (ABC).
@@KhristianBolano don't play the needlefiber / combo version of d/d/d. Fixes all problems. Union Carrier is pretty handy tho. Cross-sheep isn't used in that build either (no space and doesn't come up very often).

At 11:15 under those link arrows, that would be an illegal play because pendulums from the extra deck still need to be summoned into an extra deck zone or a linked zone. Though a simple fix would be to just move Siegfried from the zone under Halqifibrax into a zone a link arrow doesn't point to. Just to point this out to anyone playing this combo, because that alone can lose you a game.
11:20 in mr5 you still have to pend summon monsters from your extra deck to link zones. this combo is still possible though. just have to put union carrier on the other side of needlefiber
Bro I kid you not when I was still in highschool this guy's deck profiles were what I used as the back bone of my own DDD decks. I haven't played in a few years but after seeing this video I feel the game calling me back. DDD is by far my favorite archetype.

This is why I've been hyping up DDD for so long fam, it's one of those decks that creep up out of nowhere when you give it one good card aka Gilgamesh. Reminds me of when Gem-knight got their link monster, from crappy to broken because of one card and now DDD have 3 cards that can be abused and can play through multiple hand traps.
Love to see the D/D/Ds back once again(: Also, just wanted to add, cross sheep lets you boost all your monsters by 700 attack if it points to a synchro monster, in addition to the summon

Okay so hear me out on this spice. 1 copy, maybe 2, of D/D Savant Nikola. Basically when it gets popped it can set 2 scales from the extra deck and it's a level 6 for high wave king Ceaser plays. It's niche, but it's a good niche. Although I can't honestly say I've thought about turn 1 kali yoga effect to set up for a pendulum summon. That's sheer insanity and I wanna do it.

Dave knew what he was talking about when he mentioned the Sacred Beast support. There's so much synergy between the cards it honestly feels like direct support. There's even a 2 card combo that uses these cards and Go! D/D/D Divine Zero King Rage that lets you stop hand traps, including Nibiru, with just 3 summons while still being able to combo off in most cases. It's probably the best way to play the deck now.
i wonder if running 1-2 copies of leonidas would help if the contract stays around for too long, i considered d'arc but thats easily targetable, whereas a leonidas can work both on field and in the pendulum, instead of running 3 copies of pot of desires you can run 3 copies of pot of riches and use it to keep recycling your extra and main deck pendulums for a draw 2 effect

The option of titanic galaxy is much more worth while than Kali, I love the card but if youre playing a standard go-first build then you really should focus on the other possible negation, or even Sky Prison depending the match up or current format. Carrier combos are cute but only really work in game one
OK first of all as a full power DVD player myself you do not need needle fiber or cross sheep. All you need is Gilgamesh and a couple other cards like maybe an ash droll and lock bird or simple cards

Badderlemmy the tributing and token and summon are all apart of the effect not a cost so they should all be negated by high wave king ability. His only requirement is that if the ability includes special summoning he negates the whole effect
