Actors did an amazing job! But I do feel much of the credit should go to the production team. (Writers, Director, cinematographer, etc.) the writing, lighting, colors, music, sound FX, atmosphere, directors camera angles, pacing, really enhanced and carried this movie the whole way. This is Matt Reeves portrayal of Batman.
Everybody deserves a credit
Aesthetically for sure it's Matt Reeves portrayal, especially with Riddler, but I'd like to slightly counter that the rest of the stuff in the film is stuff taken from the comics. I don't want to mention anything specific in case someone reading this hasn't seen it yet, but I'll say that the character really feels like Batman from the books rather than Reeves' own take. Or at the very least, his take falls right in line with comic book Batman. Either way it's my favorite portrayal despite it not even being out for a week yet
I’m a massive Batman fan in general, and this may be my favorite one yet. The cinematography in this movie may have been it’s best aspect. Idk who the DP was but imo he was the standout on this movie before any actor is considered.

That 2 hr 56 min run time goes by so smoothly. I love this movie. Didn’t feel like 3 hours at all. I honestly wanted to see more of this world . More of this Gotham . This movie is very believable and grounded makes you believe a vigilante could definitely run the streets at night assisting police with difficult cases. I enjoyed it immensely. Highly recommend it.

This film is phenomenal, I was so engrossed in this film that 3 hours was nothing. Every scene with Batman was fantastic. Batman's presence and physicality was perfect.
I found myself completely engrossed into this film also. The cinematography, the dark imagery along with the soundtrack was absolutely amazing.
He's probably the skinniest Batman, he felt timid when he had to act as Bruce Wayne, and yet he felt like an absolute tank in the batsuit. It's phenomenal how they pulled that off, it really makes them feel like two different people even if Bruce currently doesn't care about his identity.
The way "vengeance" ties back at the end of the movie and also the riddler making us guess whether he knows batmans identity is my fav parts.
Oh and also batman being scared at first before jumping with the wing suit and learning on the way down how to use it was great
They all killed it. The Batman 2022 is the best one made yet. Kept it true to the comics and dark nature of DC.
I'm just glad that DC is starting to lean into simply telling great stories with these characters. marvel did a good job creating the MCU, but because of the restrictions of a connected universe there is much less flexibility in the storytelling. I think their movies suffer because of it. You can't get movies like "Joker" if you're worried about how it fits into the larger universe of films.
Yes dc should stick to stand alone movies.
I think DC has a chance to make both of those things happen. They do the variant dimensions very well in the animated films.
100% agree. Even as a hardcore DC fan, I was dissapointed that WB decided to make the DCEU. I mean of course, they're trying to compete with the MCU and I think that's where the problem comes from. They're trying to compete instead of making really good movies and Joker and The Batman proves this.
The "restrictions" in Marvel movies allowed for the biggest, multi-film revolutionary product in movie history. Worth the sacrifice, and even then, their storytelling across the board was lifetimes better than the DCEU. We'll never see anything like it again.
That being said, I don't care how the DC side of things moves forward. Do a universe, or don't. Just get the quality down because so far other than The Joker and The Batman, everything after The Dark Knight trilogy has been trash. I don't know how Marvel did it, but their characters felt real. DC needs some major help.

Yes, the marvel universe is impressive, but the story telling takes a hit. You can't get around that. For me the allure of the universe wore off a long time ago. All that's left is well executed, saline, paint by the numbers movies, that hit the same beats, with different characters and a diarrhea of special effects.
The only Marvel Universe movie I've watched more then once is The Winter Soldier. Why, because they leaned on story telling over spectacle. I say all that to reiterate my point, the marvel universe is cool and all, but I can do without it. If I had to choose between Nolan'sTrilogy and the entire MCU, I'll take the trilogy. And it's not even close.

At first I doubted Robert Pattinson as Batman/Bruce Wayne, but when I saw the movie, I knew he was seeing a marvel, he did his job very well. The production team did a wonderful job with the script, the photography, the direction, the action scenes etc. Definitely Robert Pattinson became Batman, I loved how he shows Bruce Wayne's inner conflicts and his duality with Batman. Zoë, Jeffrey, Colin, Andy and turturro they all made an amazing job, also did Matt reeves with the direction, I'm definitely going to watch this movie 3 times more and get it in Blu-ray
Bro I just got back from the theaters and everytime Bruce pops up on the screen as batman or just randomly comes out of the shadows or out of no where I'd literally start to shake a lot and get goosebumps all over me Geez💀👏

Watched the movie on the first night and boy oh boy they really smashed it. Everyone did their part to make this how Batman should really be. Honestly I've seen all pf them and a big big batman fan and this is the one I would say thst has got me. Just perfect !!

Every detail such as the style of voice, rain effects, dark areas or shadows, the suit of batman and riddler and so many other things including the repetition of songs make it a masterpiece and a very fresh take on batman.
You'll probably never read this but.. you did a great job as Batman, Robert. It was gritty and dark. I felt this heaviness the whole time. Good job

It’s been over a year since the batman was released and I’m still obsessed with it. The storyline, the pacing, the action, the actors, all of it was just pure perfection. I very much look up to this movie and as a acting student, I do really believe this has been one of the best movies released in the past decade just for everything that went into it and I’m very excited to see what they do with the next two movies.

Just finished watching, didn't hear great things from friends about it but I absolutely loved it! A really strong believable story.
Great visuals and a healthy balance of storyline and action. The characters costumes and home environments stripped back raw.

Pattinson’s bat voice I like cus it isn’t as dramatic as Bale’s. It’s more subtle and fitting.

Love love love how Matt Reeves acknowledges the psychological aspects of Batman while _still_ making it clear that he's run by heroic drive, what makes him more than a man as just a human. So many people love to believe that Batman (and Batman specifically, never any other hero) is just about mental illness driving him to self destructive tendencies, but historically that has never been the case.
Even in the most cerebral Batman comics which introduce the idea of Bruce having deep seated trauma (which is a more recent addition than people realize) still show you that he is much more than that, and Batman without unhealthy trauma coping is still Batman, while unhealthy trauma coping without that innate heroism is not correct to call Batman.
Pattionson's Batman only becomes stronger when he learns how to not let his scars destroy him, he doesn't lose the drive to make a real change to the city he's sworn to protect.
I'm waiting to watch this in my home with my family hope blu-ray come soon 😈
