- The Fox River 6074 Maximum Military Boot Sock is amazing, it's highs outweigh its lows, which are really none at this point. I have used these Fox River 6074 Maximum Military Boot Socks for a while now and more recently on my trip to the border and although the sock might be wet when you take it off your foot really is not as the sock absorbs most of the sweat. The Fox River 6074 Maximum Military Boot Socks has extra cushion in the areas needed like the heel and front of the foot. Against Under Armour's boot socks these Fox River 6074 Maximum Military Boot Socks are far and away going to outlast them as during the same use the Under Armour ones are already showing signs of wear and piling. Medium weight, Mid-calf. Mens/Unisex. Their best selling Military style takes all your duty can dish out. Extra cushion softens the blows feet take. Quick-dry fibers make washing simple. Memory-knit construction holds form, wash after wash. Contoured rib top holds sock in place to eliminate slippage. Spandex compression zones add support and keep sock in place all day long. Mesh panels vent moisture while trapping heat inside. Cushioned shin for extra padding against boot lacing. Multifilament yarn construction makes it very abrasion resistant and adds durability.
these socks are amazing for those long ruck marches.
I blew over a $100 on these in BCT. Instead of those shitty issued ones. Best investment ever.
Issue ones are more like summer socks, more breathable but thiner, not exactly terrible.

I'm not military but I have the socks that Berz reviewed & I do agree with his assessmt. Awesome socks, they have many other styles for non-military, women and kids, athletic wear etc. Made in Osage, Iowa and can be purchased on-line. Darn Tough made in Vermont are also great socks.
It doesn't get better then these. I bought one pair and liked them do much I bought another 11 pairs. Great for gifts too. You don't ever think much about socks until you get a really good pair.
I love these Fox River socks. I picked a few pairs at Travis AFB in Northern California for $8.50 a pair. Much better than the 5.11 Tactical socks which cost more $12 bucks a pair, and they are made in China. If you pair these Fox River sock up with the New Balance 993 shoes you could take a 15 miles walk with no problems at all. Good stuff.

Hey CaptainBerz - Excellent analysis. One little note on the toe seam - pull the sock on. The seam should be completely flat or seamless (no ridge). Let me know your thoughts.
