It's not the end of anything. Player empowerment is here to stay as it should be. I can't believe there are still clowns out there who side with employers over employees; the billionaire owners backstage over the players on the floor.
The fact is once in a while a generational team will emerge that plays immaculate team basketball. For as long as I've been watching basketball it's been the Hakeem Olajuwon Rockets, the Tim Duncan Spurs, the Steph Curry Warriors and now the Nikola Jokić Nuggets.

For a small market MN is a basketball state. We started the lakers greatness, we have top end first round draft picks (Suggs, Chet, David Roddy, Tyus Jones). Basketball is our next hockey, especially if the wolves can stay good and in contention for some years. Look out for us we produce athletes.
I don't think David Roddy deserves to be on the list of "top end." He did make the NBA though. I only work a 9-5 job.

I dont blame the suns. I blame the sports media for assigning more to that team than they should have. From the moment that Beal trade was announced, I knew this how it was going to go. Three elite scorers, but only one true reliable one(I am not a fan of booker) and no real depth behind them. Anyone being objective would have seen this team had no shot at being a contender.
So you don’t blame the suns for selling their future and giving up any and all flexibility for a team that’s about to finish worse than they did last year ?
I'd argue its more poor roster construction than a changing of the guard. Lakers and Suns have such a poor support cast. The Suns butchered their own roster for KD and Bradley Beal. They could have been more deliberate even if they got KD to keep some of their key role guys and build a proper team around those 2. Would have been enough. They got fleeced on both trades and have nothing now to work with. Lakers just keep making desperation swing after desperation swing. Warriors have aged poorly. And I'd still back Curry in a playoff series over Ant or SGA. It's just that the other guys on that team are definitely starting to go over the hill like Clay and CP.
