Being the intro for the Anime "Log Horizon" means it's non-stop & in your face with no time to pause or a full on Kanami solo. It's not on B-M's new album "Unseen World".
The Spotify Release has two xTra tracks well worth Streaming, on Repeat.....
A fun fact is an important character in Log Horizon is also called Kanami.
So instead, everybody does pretty much a solo all the way through, flat out.
This is the most anime song they've ever done, which makes sense, because that's what it was written for.
That is awesome!
"Glory" was also used for one as well. One of the Yu-Gi-Oh shows.
@@War624 Yes it was. I was just saying I think this song has even more of an anime feel than glory. Which is not a bad thing. Both songs were written for anime.
@@David-yt6kp Oh yeah, for sure. As soon as I heard this, I could easily see why it was picked up for Log Horizon. A lot of J Rock OP's have that in your face wall of sound, in a similar way to what this song does. Glory definitely wasn't your typical sounding anime pick.

You accidentally did the right thing. They're great lyrics but this song has so much going on that trying to pay attention to the music while reading the lyrics about made my brain explode!
I love how usually kanami and misa usually play parts that compliment each other but there is the part where they play the exact same thing that just doubles up on it so sweet

Band-Maid delivering a blistering, fast-paced, frantic of a headbanger. So much going on in this song. It needs to go on repeat to be able to appreciate the song in it's entirety. It is "Different" than most of their popular songs but it just shows what Band-Maid is capable of. They are just so talented in many levels. Btw, there is subtitle in this song. An excellent Band Maid song as usual. As for me, I saw flashes of "Thrill" with the white background with them standing in the same order. Appreciated the English subs, I'm sure they did it for their western fans. I read that Miku in Japan is a respected lyricist for the poetic flow of her lyrics. It was nice to see an excellent translation in the subs underlining Miku's talent/skill with lyrics.

Its quite funny, they have all been in lockdown obviously, so Kanami's sending all her demo's over the internet to fellow band members including this one. Akane, Drums (Tokyo School of Music Grad) plus at least 6 other instruments, sent reply "This is HARD". In this recording Kanami plays both lead and rhythm guitar and wrote the B side to this single, an instrumental which is AWESOME, so Miku could practice her Diminished 7th chords at speed so She could perfom it live! What a Guitarist Sensei ! .... Misa, also (Tokyo School of Music Grad), "Whatever" :)

Happy Birthday Eric! God, I love this new song. I've already listened to it 30-40 times. Like you Alan, I probably going to listen to it another 200+ times. Loved everything about this song. Gorilla Queen Akane and Misa's driving drum and bass line. Which always sounds glorious. And Kanami on beast mode, on that lead. Wish she'd had a longer solo. But, I understand that this song is for the Anime 'Log Horizon'! So I suppose, it's supposed to be frantic, and in your face. So likely no time for Kanami to actually do a solo. I suppose she is kind of soloing through the song. And, of course, fantastic vocals from Saiki and Miku. Not forgetting Miku holding the rhythm on the guitar with Akane and Misa. Miku's guitar work has really improved. She could probably play a solo or two herself these days. Oh! I nearly forgot. It'll be Akane's 30th birthday on December 14th. Also, along with this song,. They dropped their instrumental. "Don't Be Long" along side this on Spotify. Band-Maid just get better and better.

A big shout out to Miku/Kuruppo. She learnt how play guitar after they decided to go all hard rock to support Kanami doing her thing. She amazingly backs up with Saiki's amazing singing and she writes the lyrics of their songs. She really makes the band come together.

The new MV from King GNU came on line two hours after Different, and I cannot decide which one I like best. The KG MV was getting 10x the views of the BM MV, but they are probably the biggest band within Japan now; BM being more popular around the World

The Kanami riff, the crazy one, sort of reminds me of that Nuno Bettencourt "Play With Me" riff rom back in the day, which of course is a rock adaptation of Mozart's Rondo Alla Turca.
