- Season 1 Episode 7: S550 ZL1 Mustang Tow Hook Install. Not many tools are needed for this install but take your time and make it look good. I am amazed that Ford didn't have this ready for install from the factory. I guess they didn't realize people would track the car and require a Tow Hook to be installed for those just in case moments.

Mine is the PP, although I wouldn’t expect it to be any different
Thank for the video! What is the distance from the center to the tow hook? Or from another reference point? I have splitter rods and want to see if there is any interference before I purchase. Thank you
It is 8.5 inches from the passenger side of the bumper opening to 12 inches of the passenger opening

Does the mounting plate that attaches to the frame come with the hook or is it sourced elsewhere
Yep it comes with there kit for the tow hook.
Does the tow hook attached to the front bumper reinforcement crash bar?
Yes it does
When driving the car will the tow hook end up bouncing/scratching off the paint of the lower half of the front bumper that the tow hook sits above like driving on a rough road for example because if I order I don’t wanna have it ruining my paint on my car and damaging the bumper. Thanks
Nope it doesn’t move at all.
Well.. it can move but it take quite a bit of force.

Well it has a lot in common with an Apache it has lots of screws for it’s panels

I believe it will, it has some adjustment to it and the bumper has openings.
The funny part about this is the euro s550s have the little pop out in the bumper for a tow hook🤦🏼♂️
