    I have been in Hong Kong around 6ish Times, my daughter loves the Hong Kong Disney there ... I grew up in Canada but have lived around 25 years overseas in Beijing and sometime in South Korea ... we have moved back to Canada for my daughters school around Lake Huron ... will later maybe move to the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) or the Lower Mainland around Vancouver ... am very homesick for China - can't get enough of the Hong Kong area ... and so am wanting to move there to semi - retire there? maybe in 3 to 6 years-ish ... have been around Europe, Canada-America, and China-HK-Japan-Korea and Hong Kong is my favorite!!!!!! city in the world ... so am loving these kinds of videos - if my daughter doesn't go to a Canadian university she may go to a Hong Kong one - Michael T.

    I am looking to move to HK but don’t want to be in city with family. Was looking for Lantau Islands as it’s an hour commute to city. Is it a place worth living? Can you do a quick video on that Island as well?

    I love your flat! I used to live in a 160 sq ft flat in wan chai. Tiny compared to yours! Cheers!

    Thanks for the info, will be moving to HK soon! Is admin fee and stamp fee consistent across apartments? And how long did it take you to find an apartment?

    • @SimranSawhney
      @SimranSawhney  Před 2 lety +1

      you’re very welcome! glad you’ll be moving to this city :) yes, stamp and admin fees are pretty standard. it took just a few days to find an apartment i loved, but i’d keep a few weeks as a buffer to give you a realistic amount of time

      @@SimranSawhney tysm for your reply! may I ask for your thoughts on Kennedy Town and SYP? sorry for the many questions :)

    • @SimranSawhney
      @SimranSawhney  Před 2 lety +2

      @@rebellion6331 no don’t apologise! i love kennedy town and SYP, definitely has its own little vibe to it and has plenty of food around. i think if you prefer living outside of the entertainment area (eg soho or wan chai), but still want to be close by, both Ktown and SYP are great, especially since you will probably also find something cheaper. At the same time, if you don’t mind a little bit of noise, you could also find something in Soho for not too high of a price because people often want to be surrounded by peace and quiet rather than the occasional noise. i think the last factor is also based on where you work. if you work in Kowloon or towards the east side of HK island then you might be better off in KTown or SYP because it’s way closer to the MTR station. If you work in central and don’t mind the walk up and down from Soho then it’s worth it to live in Soho. all up to you ultimately!

      @@SimranSawhney dope thanks for your reply, KTown or SYP sound perf tbh since I'll be working in causeway :) - I'll also check Soho out since I'm in my mid-20s. thanks again!
