Thank for this video, needed this information now. Didn’t know the injectors could have some up and down play. I was just scratching my head wondering what was going on and started searching, this was the only good information I could actually find. And I even called fuel clinic to ask them lol

I've had a fuel leak on the dyno myself in my Soarer 1JZ that made 386rwkw using a roller dyno. Replacement Sard 800cc side feed injectors. What happened was the top rail injector holders, held in with 2x 10mm head bolts, came loose to vibration and backed off slightly on the rear - which was enough to BEND the retaining rail and allow the injector to creep 5mm and break the O-ring seal under fuel pressure. I smelt the issue before it became lean on the dyno and fixed it on the spot. Now I blue Loctite injector rail bolts as a matter of safety and tighten to 15-20nm or the handbook spec - whichever is greater.
Fuel fires are no damn joke - once it's alight, you have 1-3 seconds before it's all over.

I'll be placing my order for that Radium rail after Xmas Uncle Jay and that will be the final piece of what I need off you guys. Thank you for all the engine parts you have supplied for my 💩 box thus far and I'll be ready to represent in 2023. 😎👍

Do you guys have or can make a video about fuel inejctor positioning/angles in relation to the duct, and effects of placing an injector further away from the intake valve speaking of thermal rise or lowering in combustion chamber/atomization etc

Trying to make a confident fit on Honda intakes with Bosch bodies is sketchy...I hand-sanded some nylon washers to slide up the injector and sit on top of the "cushions" and keep the injectors from squeazing into the bores. I feel like it will still leak boost. Need to test.

Great vid mate and it’s definitely not an area to cut corners! Fuel fire isn’t funny! in my l36 pile of junk I had originally modified the steel fuel rails for -8 fittings and thought that would do, but I was wrong! Although being fastened under the plenum so there’s little risk of the rails lifting they still flex under high pressure and over time and with a missing bolt they actually bent enough to unseat an injector, a simple fix I just fitted an older models billet rails

I’m finding it difficult to fine injector fuel rail that work with a2000 Dodge Ram 5.9 gas engine. The original part (53030598AC) is no longer available. I’m wondering what is available from after market custom designs, which I have not had any luck finding a source to obtain fuel rail with cross over tubes to fit the Dodge 5.9. Any suggestions.

This is good to know info I’m building an efi 460 and there’s not many B of the shelf parts for the application so I have to modify them or make custom parts know anything about drilling intakes to accept fuel injectors?

Engine kept flooding when I put a cheap aftermarket pressure regulator, broken before I installed it. Took me way too long to realize it. I unplugged the fuel relay and cranked the engine to push the fuel out the spark plug holes onto a rag. Worked great the first 3 times. 4th time, for some reason I'm still unsure of, the moment i turned the key, Im not even sure i cranked it, there was a spark, maybe static electricity and all that fuel went boom. 4 foot flame. I ran so f*ing fast to grab the fire extinguisher. Survived with just burnt plug wires and vacuum hoses, and a little char on the battery. Take a lesson from me.. use a vacuum pump to suck out fuel flooded cylinders..

You know why the Subaru actually blows up. Fuel contamination, causing the injector to stick open, hydro lock the cylinder then after you try to start it the spark will ignite the fuel pouring into the exhaust. Then they burn to the ground.
